Our happy bungalow has the spirit of a Red Daos traditional house : woods material, spacious with its 26m², and opening under the roof for lights. There is also a pretty mezzanine for enjoy cosy times, read books, drink tea, play games, or for add mattresses if you have happy kids or just be happy friends who want to stay together. Decoration is all homemade to add a simple and peaceful atmosphere. #enjoyhappiness! :D "A little paradise", "near to nature", "calm & peaceful"! That's what our guests used to say. Oh! It is like your own home! : the big house, the vegetable garden, picking the fruits on the trees, climbing the hill, walk through the rice terraces, go to the bamboo forest.... It is a small peaceful village located at 12km, or 45 minutes by car, from Sapa town. Our house is off the beaten path, and also not too far from those ones (1km from the "Cầu Mây waterfall"). Just the right balance to enjoy peaceful into-nature stay and the authentic local way of life, and to discover the nearest attractions. Our house is above the rice terraces, at the bottom of a small hill with an amazing view, surrounded by trees and bamboo forests. Our guests love nature life sounds during the days and nights. In summer there are butterflies flying all around and often thousands and thousands dragonflies on the hill. Yep! Nature, peaceful and authentic is the good description for our village :D You can go to Sapa by day or night sleeping buses or night trains. Sleeping buses are cheap (about 12-14$/person/way), fast (6hours), and arrives directly to Sapa Town. Night trains are more expensive (30-40$/person/way), slower (8hours), and only arrive in Lào Cai train station. Lào Cai is located at 40km from Sapa Town. Trains are just more folk and fun! From Sapa town, you can go to our house by taxis. We used to work with taxi drivers who know exactly where we are located. So the best is that we book the taxi for you. The price will also be cheaper and fixed! :) Taxi prices : - from Lào Cai train station to our house, 30$ 1-3 people, 4 people or more 34$ one way, 42km, 1h40). - from Sapa Town to our house, 13$ one way, 12km, 45 minutes. If you take the night train and want to save some money, there is a local bus to Sapa Town in front of the train station. On the parking, on the left after the exit. Price is 1.5$/person/way, departure every 30 minutes. In Sapa Town, you need to take a taxi to come to our house. :) We can help you to book buses from and to different spots of Vietnam. Because we love families and kids and really want to welcome you again! :) . Please, note that our house is not located in Sapa Town. We are located in the valley of Sapa at 12km (45 minutes by car) from the town. We live in the Red Dao ethnic village of Giang Ta Chai Dao. It is a small and peaceful village surrounded by nature, mountains, bamboo forests and rice fields. For a closed to the nature and closed to the locals stay. And for an amazing, rich and fully authentic experience! :D . We can speak English and Vietnamese. . We have special offer on night cost, meals and activities for HAPPY kids under 18, just send us a request! :D . Our bungalow is designed to host a family of four persons. There is by default one bed 160*200cm and we can add mattress 120*200cm on the mezzanine for each additional person. . Check-in time is 12.00 and check-out time is 11.00am. However, if there is no booking just before or just after your booking, you can check-in or check-out as you desire! :D . Trekking and motorbike tours are also available at our homestay. There are many trekking paths all around. You can choose the one you want to do according to what you want to see, to experience and depending on your health. Or if you have no idea, we can choose for you, cause we know which ones are the best. ;) Trekking goes up and down the mountains, through rice field terraces, bamboo forests, in front of water falls and ethnic villages! :) Trekking tour with a local guide is : 20$US/person for one day trek with lunch, or 12$US/person for half day. :) We would like to highlight our motorbike tour. IT IS OUR SIGNATURE TOUR! :D Motorbike can bring us further in the valley. We can go where no other tourist goes, completely off the beaten path, see amazing and preserved landscapes (even more beautiful than the near Sapa!) and do authentic meeting with locals ! :) We ride through different valleys of thousands and thousands rice's field terraces, stop how many times you want to enjoy and take fotos of the landscapes, and share an authentic lunch experience with a local family at noon. :D Motorbike tour with driver is 30$US/person for one amazing, unforgettable, wonderful day ! :D . To enjoy Sapa at his best, we recommend you to stay at least 3 days/2 nights. The first day for your arrival and get relax from your travel, enjoy the peace of the place and the surrounding : the rice fields, the waterfall, the village, the landscapes ; observe the local life and why not enjoying the herbal bath at the end of the afternoon before dinner. The second and third day to trek and do the motorbiketour. Thus, you will have a complete experience of Sapa! :) If you do not have enough time, and can only stay 2 days/1 nights, it would also worth it! We will do our best to show you the maximum of the beauty of Sapa! If you want to stay more than 3 days, yes! it is a good idea and we will be also very happy! The valley of Sapa is just a wonderful place to get relax into the nature, life is simple here and it is like the time stops here... :) Guest often says that it is a small paradise here! :D . We do only positive travel, price and benefits are calculated to improve the local's life. Because we want every person who participates to your amazing experience to be paid at a fair price, not depending on tips or anything else. They are also our family, our neighbors and our friends. It is our way of work. :) . Breakfast is included in the room price. Lunch is included in whole day trekking and motorbike tours. An extra lunch or dinner with us is 6$US/person for a savory meal, 4$US/person for a vegetarian meal. We do local food :) It's homecooked and if the vegetables can come from our garden, it is even better :D You can also cook with us. If you want to learn how to do our amazing ethnic nems and banana flower salad, just tell us. We will prepare the ingredients and cook with you. It is so simple and soooo yummy! :P . Water bottle/soda/beer is 1$US/unit. Tea and coffee is free all along the day, because it is hospitality :) . Laundry and drying for 2$US/machine (wash&dry) if you need. :D . Our traditional herbal bath is 6.5$US/pers. Now, you know everything ! :D
