Barrett Family Ranch
Your own California Adventure! Sweeping curved staircase takes guests to a magical upstairs Master Bedroom w/ gorgeous Victorian antiques, custom vaulted wood ceilings, sitting area with marble fireplace and large outdoor patio overlooking the property. Every room at the Ranch has an Old West theme: Victorian, Indian, Wolf, Pony. The Ranch is filled with beautifully crafted antiques and old-fashioned artistic touches, while offering amenities and cooking facilities for large parties. Enjoy! Barrett Family Ranch is located on 1+ acre in an Equestrian Community called Orange Park Acres or 'OPA'. OPA features 35 miles of horseback-riding trails that traverse adjacent to all the properties. A few things to note about visiting an horseback community: Please, please, please (ya'll getting the message?!): - Park on the 'other side' -- do not block the horseback-riding trails - Slow down to 5-10 MPH when horses are visible - Avoid flashy objects, loud noises/horns that might spook the horses (and injure the rider) - Use your Common Sense when around horses Thank you! Cristol Guests of Barrett Family Ranch: Please ensure you only enter and park in front of the GARAGE! Please ensure you DO NOT PARK on the HORSE TRAIL [i.e. West side of the street) as both the Riders and Neighbors will complain and you will incur fines! If you require more than 4 Car-Parking --> you may drive LEFT of the GARAGE (across the grass) and park cars that will *not* be utilized regularly (we don't want to wreck the grass). If you know you will have more than four (4) cars parked in-tandem without blocking the Horse Trail, you may ask for SPECIAL PERMISSION to park extra cars on the property. Place your request via the Airbnb listing. If you have a vehicle that will not be utilized often, please park it down the street on the EAST side of Meads Avenue. You may also legally park on the EAST side of the street, but too many cars causes problems with our Neighbors. Thank you! Cristol Barrett O'Loughlin Owner's Daughter Please contact the Owner's Daughter, Cristol Barrett O'Loughlin, via the Airbnb app. Please note the Owner, Richard Barrett Sr., is 'Old School'. He does not Text or Email, just like the Cowboys and Indians you are enjoying at the Ranch, so you will need to call him and possibly call him again! You best bet is to connect with Cristol for any special requests. If you enjoy your time at Barrett Family Ranch, we would welcome a positive review!! (If you have suggestions on how to improve your experience, please share them with us 1:1 as negative reviews can be quite damaging.) We are here to ensure you have a wonderful stay.... Cristol Barrett O'Loughlin Owner's Daughter Orange Park Acres is comprised of 1 acre+ lots and most of our neighbors have horses. OPA features 35 Miles of horseback-riding trails -- please do NOT park or block the trails! They are easy to see, typically along the white fences, so please park on the opposite side of the street if you cannot find an appropriate spot on our property. Thank you. Uber and Lyft can find us with specific directions: 10571 North Meads Avenue - near Katella Avenue. There are buses at Katella, as well. Note: OPA is an unincorporated part of Orange, CA and mobile reception is not always 100% reliable. Please plan ahead! Guests and especially children need to STAY WITHIN THE GATES of Barrett Family Ranch -- please do not wander or allow children to access the 'Lower Yard' or 'Workshop' (next door, outside the gates) unless they are invited by the owner, Richard Barrett. If you are staying with us during holidays, there may be a one-week minimum. Additional guests beyond 16 people are not allowed. Also, Orange Park Acres is a quiet community. My father has lived there since the 1960s. Please keep outdoor noise to a minimum past 8pm and be respectful of neighbors... Enjoy your stay and please use neighborly Common Sense!
