This brand new apartment is located between Coronado and San Carlos, on the way to Punta Barco. It’s a very quiet area and it’s close to beaches and malls (5 min. by car). Close by there is a 5 minute-walk to the river. For those who don’t have private transport, there are taxis or public transport (on the highway) that will take you wherever you want to go. There is wifi, parking, a nice garden, some trees and plants; anything you need to make your life comfortable while staying over here! I live close to the property so whoever prefers to receive the key in person, just let me know. Also for the ones who would like to receive more information or need some help, my wife and I are happy to help. An advantage of living here is that you are close to beaches, a river, stores, malls, restaurants, bars, mail and medical services. It’s only a few minutes walking to the highway where you can take a bus or taxi, if not you can also ask for a pick up at Serenity. If you love wildlife, Panama will be your paradise. At Serenity you will able to spot some small parrots in front on the apartments once and a while and some iguanas. As a daily visit you can expect the colorful hummingbirds and parakeets. For people who like to walk, accessing everything you need by foot is perfectly possible. Blocks away, near the highway you will find a small hardware store and 3 shops where you can find food, drinks, and most basic necessities (local people use the name “Chino”, because almost every shop on the highway is owned by Chinese people). You will also find a Chinese restaurant at the entrance of Punta Barco Highway. It is also possible to walk to the grocery store and shopping in the town of Coronado (about a 15 minute walk). If you feel like walking to the local beach, it will take you about 30 min. Popular beaches near Serenity are Playa Teta, Playa Serena and El Palmar. Public transportation is well organized in Panama. A lot will depend on your knowledge of the area, the ability to speak Spanish, and where you want to go. If you go on tours you will likely have someone who speaks at least a little English. If not, research online before visiting. If you plan to visit various cities, there are public shuttle busses which are cheaper than private services. Private transport like taxis you will find almost everywhere in Panama. The official yellow cabs will charge you around $2 to $3 dollars to pick you up and drop you off at the grocery or local Coronado area. From the moment you want to go further than Coronado, transport can get quite expensive ($20 /hour or more). If you are planning to visit other areas it would be wise to check the public buses or to rent a car (there are various rental companies in this area)
