This ground floor apartment is part of Driftwood Gardens Guesthouse, a large 3 story property located at the top of Placencia Village. The location offers convenience to all local amenities. The Caribbean Sea and famous sidewalk are just a 3 minute walk across the street; a grocery store is less than a minute away, and a coffee shop is just a two minute walk. We are right next door to a full service tour operator, Captain Jaks, who can organize any excursion that you’d like to experience. They also offer golf cart rentals. The apartment has a king bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room so it is possible to sleep three people. There is air conditioning in both the bedroom and living room. A smart TV with complementary Netflix and over 100 cable channels is located in the living room for your enjoyment. The large screened patio has a dining table, hammock, and lighting for you to enjoy any time of day and night. If you are traveling with family and friends, Driftwood Gardens Guesthouse also consists of a studio apartment (also on the ground floor with a separate entrance) and a two bedroom apartment on the second floor. Guests have full access to the pool and large gas barbecue grill next to the pool deck. There is also an additional bathroom on the pool deck with keypad entry (code provided on check-in). Street parking is available along the fence that borders the house. Your car will be visible from the house. The entire village is walkable from the property. But we also offer complimentary bikes if you want to get around the village more quickly or if you want to venture further up the peninsula to Seine Bight and Maya Beach areas. We live onsite on the third floor (steps up the back of the house). We are available to assist with whatever you may need. We try to be as unobtrusive as possible, but are always available to help. We can be reached by knocking on our door, phone, or text. Driftwood Gardens Guesthouse is located towards the top of village in a super convenient location, but set back from the main road so there is still some peace and tranquility. The village is entirely walkable from the house (we don't own a car or golf cart). The lagoon is less than 30 second walk from the back of the house, and you can be at the beach with just 3 minute walk across the street. The village is totally walkable from the property. A 15 minute walk will take you to "the point", the southernmost tip of the village. This is the best place to swim as it has the cleanest and calmest water. We provide complementary bikes if you want to get around a little quicker. Golf carts are available to rent from our neighbor Captain Jaks and are a great option if you want to spend a day exploring the peninsula. Public transportation (buses and vans) are also available and are super cheap. You can get to some of the nice restaurants 20 minutes away in Maya Beach for 1 USD. Taxis are also readily available. We are Gold Standard certified by the Belize Tourism Board and are able to host foreign tourists. If you are looking to travel with friends and family, Driftwood Gardens Guesthouse also has a two bedroom apartment and a studio apartment. Both are also listed on Airbnb.
