Hi,I am Ute. I am a German living in the hills of Jamaica since 36 years. Our community is small and people know one another.There is Nature pure all around. I do some farming and raise bees... I am available for walks or day trips. Or you can just relax on my veranda and enjoy the cool breeze. Breakfast and dinner available or you can cook for yourself. Basic items are available at some small shops, but no restaurant is nearby. If you want to go off the beaten track,you will love it here😀🇯🇲 It's very peaceful and quiet.The village is surrounded by mountains and the Swift River is flowing right throu it.We have a beautiful view of the Blue Mountains.The people are planting coffee and other crops in the hills. I am always willing to assist visitors by showing them around. I rent 2 rooms and a shared bathroom in an appartment.. Visitors should be aware, that they have to walk a distance to reach my place! My guests are always welcome on the veranda,in the kitchen and anywhere in the yard.They can pick coconuts and fruits,if available. I am always available to my guests, if they need any assistance,advice or even a nice talk.. There are only a few neighbours around and lots of trees and bushes.Our road connects to 2 bigger roads and we live in the middle.There is a small village at the top and the bottom of the road.We have little shops,which sell the most necessary items. The view of the Blue Mountains is breathtaking and the river is fresh and clean. Public transportion available to and from Hope Bay.There are Taxis,which carry several people for J$ 150.- or taxis for charter for J $ 1500.-.But there is a 15 min walk from the main road and our road is not asphalted. The house can only be reached with a four wheel drive or on foot. No hot water Only accessible by 4 wheel drive or a 10 - 15 minute walk
