My two bedroom tree house (Bungalow) sits on top of a huge Banyan tree. From the balcony you can see the impressive Yasur Volcano and at night the red glow of the frequent eruptions light up the skyline in spectacular visual display of nature’s unbridled power (eruptions occur about every 20 minutes). Your visit and overnight stay will truly be the unforgettable experience of a life time. My tree house can accommodate four in two bedrooms (double and two single beds). There is a shared elevated dining room and private bathroom facilities consisting of a shower, hand basin and flush toilet. Our electricity generator provides power to the bungalow and runs daily from 6 PM to 9.30 PM. Outside of these hours light is provided by solar cell torches. There is good mobile network reception (Digicel). Beds have mosquito nets and the tree house is made of local materials. Hot water can be arranged by the staff for your showers, just ask your host. I am experienced guide who will organize your volcano visit. A variety of other exciting tours around Tanna Island are available: hot springs, water fall, custom village visit (traditional dances included), visits to Shark Bay and Port Resolution (subject to weather conditions). My family will cook for you and serve a variety of healthy and delicious local style food, including local dishes made with root vegetables (manioc, taro, kumala, and yam), coconut milk, island cabbage, breadfruit, rice, fish, chicken etc. My family and I live a couple of minutes walk away. The Tree House is not inside a village so your privacy will be ensured. Tanna Volcano Horizon Tree House (Bungalow) is located about 4 km southwest of Mt. Yasur. The journey from the Tanna airport takes about 1 h 30 min by a terrain vehicle. I can arrange a transfers for you from the airport to the bungalows and back. The price for a transfer is 5,000 vatu per passenger one way. Please be advised that there is no credit card facilities generally available on Tanna Island (White Sand Resort is an exception). I would recommend that you take extra cash from Port Vila before arriving.
