The kitchen and living room are shared spaces. We have friendly staff and adequate facilities: water, electricity (+ solar backup for lights), TV and wifi connection on request. The house is situated 5 to 7 minutes by car from Bukoba town, in a nice surrounding with large and secure garden. Our well-fenced house is situated uphill with view on Bukoba town and Lake Victoria from the terrace. The big garden has different fruit trees and flowers. It has a half basketball court (with ball and pump) and ample parking space. Plenty of water. Security lights with solar backup system. Guests can make use of our large sitting room and terrace. On request breakfast can be served on the terrace. The house is wheelchair-friendly, without stairs. We have trustful and friendly staff, always ready to help. Bukoba area is the land of “ndizi” (bananas) and “kahawa” (coffee). Our house is built in a guarded area along the tarmac road to Kashozi, conveniently located just outside Bukoba town, the capital of Kagera Region. The house is thus situated in the sub-urban countryside of Bukoba municipality. The area has many attractions: visits to Bukoba town and neighbouring districts. There are tea plantations, beautiful nature areas for picnic along Lake Victoria. There are also scenic travel options to Biharamulo and Mwanza. Transport by car can be arranged on request and at a low price. For instance we can make sure that you will be received at Bukoba Airport, which is some ten minutes drive from NyumbaniBB. We can arrange that a minibus is ready for pick-up or drop off at Mutukula. Mutukula is the border town with Uganda at just more than 80 km from Bukoba via good quality tarmac road. Kampala is a further 225 km away, some 4 hours, including border crossing. Entebbe is another 1 and ½ hours drive from Kampala, depending on traffic. The ring road of Kampala reduces the time to reach Entebbe airport from the border to just four hours! Long-term stay (>28 days) is possible and for a reduced price, if requested sufficiently ahead of time.
