Airy, open 70's modern home in the woods. Rural but only 8 minutes from Saugerties Main Street. Large farm-style dining table for big dinners and hanging out. Privacy and views of woods on 5 acres. Ski at nearby mountains or hang out in Hudson Valley towns nearby. Hiking is plentiful in nearby Catskills. Wake up to views of the forest and country peace and quiet. The house sits at the edge of 5 acres of forest at the base of a hill. Right off highway 32 and convenient to Saugerties Village and NYS Thruway. Rural, country house with modern stylings and convenience. Pet friendly! Let me know if you're bringing your furry friend as there is a $50 pet fee. There are two king bedrooms upstairs plus a sunroom on the ground floor with a full sized futon and large sectional in the living room. The sunken living room is spacious and has a 55" TV and AppleTV for watching movies and hanging out. Strong wifi (Spectrum Cable 100mbps) and cell service out here. The home has a classic wood burning stove to provide heat (firewood is provided). ACs provided for each room in the summer. Outside, cook out on the a gas bbq then move to the fire pit for hanging out with a drink. You'll have access and privacy around the house and up the walking path behind the house. More adventurous guests often find their own paths around the house. I live in Brooklyn but am available by phone or text at anytime. The housekeeper has been taking care of this home with me for the past 6 years and is nearby for any last minute requests. Small, private, 3-house road off of local Highway 32, 5 min to NYS Thruway. The neighbors are lovely but are far enough away that privacy is not an issue. It's a great blend of ease and convenience from highways and towns but affords rural privacy and peace of mind. Park on the property (past the gate) - public transportation will not get you here, a car is necessary.
