The Wright Hill Cabin is located in the small, rural community of Parks, Arizona - 20 minutes West of Flagstaff and 15 minutes East of Williams. Situated just within the tree line, the cabin sits on the edge of beautiful Government Prairie which provides unobstructed views of the San Francisco Peaks while providing the beautiful scenery and wildlife of the vast Ponderosa Pine Forest. The quiet community of Parks provides easy access to Grand Canyon National Park, Snowbowl, Bearizona and more! The Wright Hill Cabin is a small (~900Sq. ft.), but cozy 2 bedroom/1 bathroom home that provides incredible views in a comfortable and quiet setting. The cabin is situated on 5.5 acres that borders Forest Service Land (Public) and has direct, private access to the Kaibab National Forest. One bedroom is outfitted with a King sized mattress and TV and the other with a Queen sized mattress. Both bedrooms have closet space. The common area offers TV, large leather couch, dinette, wood burning stove, and French Doors that lead to a wrap-around, covered porch. A small laundry/mud room outfitted with a small washer/dryer combo leads to a fully equipped kitchen. Comfortable patio furniture, propane BBQ, and incredible views make it difficult to head inside for bed at the end of the evening. The whole house and property is yours to enjoy! A large detached garage, located behind the house, will NOT be accessible to guests. Immediate access from the property directly to the Kaibab National Forest and an endless amount of off-road vehicle and hiking trails. In an effort to provide the best possible experience for guests, I will likely be on and off the property throughout your stay in order to monitor water level, remove snow, work in the garage, feed the chickens, and be a resource (if needed). Being born and raised in this area, I have extensive knowledge of Northern Arizona that I would LOVE to share. You won’t find me without my VERY friendly chocolate lab, Lou, by my side While the cabin is occupied I either stay in Flagstaff or in a small camp trailer located on the very back of the property. This may be a resting place for me some days/nights. With that being said, I will go out of my way to respect the space of my guests.. You won't know I am there! The community of Parks, AZ is a very quiet, small community located 20 minutes West of Flagstaff and 15 minutes East of Williams. The community is supported by an excellent restaurant/bar (Mustang River Grill), gas station/feed Store, a General Store/Deli, postoffice, elementary school, and volunteer fire department. A vehicle is a must in Parks, as there is no public transit. Parking available for several vehicles/trailers on site. Four wheel drive, while certainly not necessary, will provide for adventure opportunity! WATER: Water is a valuable resource in the arid Southwest... and water on this property is hauled. With that being said, use water in a respectful manner. - Please fill dishwater entirely before running or hand washing any dishes - Do not let shower run excessively prior to entering - hot water delivered fast - Do not let faucets run excessively - turn off when washing/brushing ACCESS: Maintained dirt road accessible with 2 wheel drive and low clearance. MAP provided with detailed directions TV: Entertainment Apps accessible Netflix provided WIFI: STARLINK - High Speed Internet CELL SERVICE: VERIZON cell service at the cabin is reliable. Other cell providers will likely be spotty at the cabin, but finding service in the general area should not be an issue. AIR-FRYER & KEURIG **WINTER SEASON RESERVATIONS** - I must make you aware that I have to manage my cabin very carefully In the winter time due to the potential for major winter weather events. Your reservation can only be Gauranteed as far as the weather forecast can predict.. furthermore, I reserve the right to cancel any reservation that may be Impacted by winter weather. This is ultimately for the Safety of my guests and myself. IF A RESERVATION MUST BE CANCELED DUE TO WINTER WEATHER, I WILL PERSONALLY REACH OUT TO AIRBNB TO ENSURE A FULL REFUND AND NO PENALIZATION FOR CANCELATION. Access to the property Is overall reliable, However I-40 can be very Dangerous and It often closes during big snow storms. This interstate in the only route to and from Parks. The road leading to the cabin Is dirt and must be plowed continuously during storms and even with that effort, It is often trecherous even with 4WD. I understand that many guests travel to the area for winter storms, and I will do my best to accommodate your stay, but safety is the ultimate concern. PLEASE be aware that I will keep a very very close watch on the weather as your reservation approaches and communicate very thoroughly so that we can plan your trip Safely or cancel In a timely manner.
