I'll share my favorites with you. It's about a 6 block walk to the water and walking trail. If you like wine country, Napa Valley and Sonoma are about a 45-60 minute drive. Buses within 1-2 blocks, easy walking distance. BART (Bay Area Transit System) is a 5 minute drive away. There is a ferry here in Alameda that takes you to the SF Pier and you can take buses throughout the city (SF). Drive to the City in about 15-20 minutes or take the bus; bus stop is a 3 minute walk to the corner and take the bus to the Sales Force bus terminal walking distance to the pier and the Saturday farmers market. I take the bus now since it’s so easy and clean. Free Non-Metered Street Parking, easy to access. Pack-n-Play and high chair available for the little ones.
