The Little Red River offers 29 miles of world class trout fishing just below Greer’s Ferry Dam, only 5 miles from the home! Our home is private but there are neighbors that live in the area. Please be respectful of the peace and quiet when outdoors. Disrupting the neighborhood peace/noise complaints can result in early termination of booked stay without refund. PACKING LIST: There is a charcoal grill available at the home as well as a fire-pit for your enjoyment. Please supply your own charcoal if you wish to grill outdoors. We provide firewood. Red Oak Retreat is located in Cleburne County. During drought periods, the county may issue a Burn Ban, which will effect use of the fire-pit. We will warn you when a Burn Ban is in effect, as it is a class A misdemeanor in Arkansas to violate such a Ban. The area around the home is wooded and lawn maintained at the home, however it is Arkansas, expect to see squirrels, spiders, frogs, turtles, lizards etc from time to time. Don't forget to bring things like bug spray/tick repellent and sunscreen if you plan on remaining outdoors and taking advantage of local hiking trails! After all, it is the Natural State!
