We are a short drive up a Bumpy (but Safe) country road located on the lush tropical hillside overlooking the Caribbean Sea. •Enjoy the spectacular panoramic views of Morne Diablotin, Portsmouth, Cabrits, Prince Rupert Bay and Guadeloupe. •Conveniently close to beaches, water sports, restaurants, shopping & nightlife. Less than 1 km to Picard/Portsmouth. •Also nearby is Syndicate National Park, Milton Falls, Indian River, Fort Shirley & segments of the Waitukubuli National Trail. •Northwestern Dominica has numerous beaches (Ripaton Beach, Coconut Beach, Portsmouth Beach, Purple Turtle Beach, Douglas Bay & Toucari Bay) with calm waters for swimming, snorkeling and diving. •ALWAYS RECOMMENDED: Island drivers have a small SUV (4x4 Jeep is not required but helpful) so they are free to explore the Nature Isle at their convenience, anywhere & anytime. •The roads can be rough in Dominica, including the short, dirt road leading to Madé Cottage, so the higher clearance of a Jeep is required & will benefit you on all your island excursions. •Guests that chose to not rent a Jeep while visiting the island can utilize the privately run, small local buses. The Tibay bus stop is conveniently located a short walk down the hill on the main road. Simple & inexpensive BUT most bus service ends each evening at dark & Sundays can be challenging in remote areas.
