Torio guesthouse with panoramic view
Our private guesthouse is suspended over the Torio River, on the west coast of the Azuero Peninsula. It is a paradise for hikers, bird watchers, surfers and beach goers. Marked trails with posted maps begin at our place. Hike to a beautiful waterfall, mountain or beach. Photograph birds from the porch. Surf, body board and swim safely (no strong currents). Walk to good restaurants, and a small grocery. Experienced Surfers have Morrillo Beach and Playa Reina. Watch sun and moon rise. You will have your own home away from home! Enjoy the independence and self suffiency of a complete kitchen including a table and chairs, refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, dishes, pots and pans, dish rack, oven mitts, etc.. You can watch hundreds of channels, plus Utube and listen to music on satellite TV. You will have a beautiful queen size bed with a comfortable Serta mattress. You will also have a futon to serve as a chair or extra bed. You can hook your phone up to our speakers. We provide WiFi. Our spacious bathroom has a mirrored cabinet to hold all your stuff. We have provided good lighting throughout, so you can read in bed, put on make-up in the bathroom and prepare your food in the kitchen. Our open shower offers room for 2 with plenty of fresh towels and soap. Sit on your private, secluded balcony and bask in the tranquil, unspoiled panorama of the Torio River and surrounding mountains. Looking west gives you a view of the Pacific. Our pool is available upon request. You can park at your door on gravel We will be available to help with anything you need but will honor your right to enjoy your privacy. The Torio town center is expanding all the time. Just recently marked trails were added throughout the valley where we are located. It is a hiker’s paradise where you can hike to the top of mountains or hike down the Torio River where it winds through the valley and leads to a beautiful waterfall. Young adults from France, Italy, the US, England, Israel, Canada and Panama offer yoga classes and massages on certain days, and several restaurants. They also have a designer soap factory where you can purchase soap made from goat's milk. In the mornings you can attend yogo classes or get a massage. At Morrillo Beach there is a surf hostel where you can catch a meal after catching some waves. You can also rent surfboards and pay for surf instruction. At certain times of the year, Torio has a weekend market where local artisans, fishermen, and farmers sell their products and produce. You are walking distance from a bus stop and can get a taxi to pick you up at you door. We will be available to give you directions to all beaches, waterfalls, turtle sanctuaries, etc. We also know people who offer horseback riding, fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, and boat trips to the island of Coiba, a national park, and whale watching. We are also near the Cerra Hoya National Park with a virgin forest of trees as wide as 3 or 4 men stretched arm to arm around the base. We can connect you with tubes and river guides on our river. We have a surfboard and boogie boards to rent. We have walking sticks for the waterfall. Most of all we offer the most breath taking view of the Torio River and the rows and rows of mountains that separate the Azuero Peninsula. Best of all, you see this view every morning from your bed.
