Our home is set in a stunning location near the beautifully picturesque town of Hana on the unspoiled Hana Coast. The house is a short distance from the ocean with amazing panoramic views from the house and lanai. There are two enclosed screened lanai for dining while admiring the breathtaking ocean or mountain views . Hana Ocean Front Paradise is a perfect hideaway for those wanting peace, privacy and yet easy access to beaches, beautiful hikes, and a short five-minute walk into Hana town. Hana Ocean Front Paradise is a secluded island style home with a great location. The living and dining area have all glass doors with a beautiful view of the ocean. There is an indoor and outdoor screened eating area facing the ocean, and another outdoor seating area facing the mountains. The lanai wraps around the entire ocean side of the house with chairs facing the ocean. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious, each with its own full bathroom. There is also a fourth guest bathroom with a shower. The master bedroom faces the ocean. There is a soaking tub and shower that have views as well. The house is very private. There are no neighbors and the land between the house and the ocean is owned by Hana Ranch and is used as pasture land. At times the horses and cows from Hana Ranch graze in the pasture below. You may hear the sound of mooing cows day or night. Even though the house location is private, the general store, Hāna Ranch Restaurant and a variety of food trucks are located right down the street with in walking distance. Hana Farms is located a few miles north of Hāna serving lunches, coffees, a variety of banana breads, with special Pizza nights on Friday and Saturday from 4pm - 8 pm. If you are staying for a while, you might want to stop at a grocery stores by the Kahului airport to purchase your favorite foods. The kitchen is stocked with many dishes cooking supplies and some basic spices. The house is furnished with bath towels, beach towels, shampoo, conditioner and body soap. Hana is a beautiful quiet town with many beaches to choose from within a close distance to the house. You can visit sights during the day and come home to a beautiful, quiet private house and listen to the ocean. You will find and interesting library of books for your reading pleasure. Our guests have access to the entire house and property. You have complete privacy and the house is surrounded by yard and pastures. Stores, restaurants, and food trucks are a 5-10 minute walk from the house. The surrounding property is pasture lands with stunning unobstructed views of the Hana coastline. You can swim, and snorkel at beaches 5-10 minutes drive away, including Hamoa Beach, Wainapanapa and Hana Bay. There are five beautiful beaches nearby for swimming, snorkeling, surfing, fishing, and beachcombing… Please read signs and ask the local residents about the ocean conditions and currents at the beaches. Hamoa Beach is a haven of crystal blue water, soft sand, and rolling surf. There is an outdoor shower. Please be aware at times there can be strong currents that pull to the right or left of the beach towards the rocks and away from the shore Neighboring Koki Beach is great for body and board surfing and also has the same type of currents as Hamoa Beach. Just be vigil. Waianapanapa State Park is a short drive away and has spectacular views, beautiful volcanic rock formations, a black sand beach, and many walking trails. As of 2022 reservations are required to visit this State Park. Hana Bay Beach is easily accessible from the center of town and is where you will find the historic Hana Bay Pier. This bay is well-situated for calmer waters and suited for water activities for younger children. Dolphins are often sighted here! Whether you want to explore the coastline or jungle, there are excellent hiking trails through Haleakala National Park, or Maui’s largest underground lava tube system at Ka’eleku Caverns, Kaumahina State Park, and even through the rolling hills around town with a walk up to Fagan's cross overlooking Hana town. Other Hana activities include horseback and bicycle riding, tennis, hang gliding, and horticultural visits to the Keanae Arboretum or archeological excursions at Kahanu Gardens National Tropical Botanical Garden. Here you will find the largest heiau (stone temple) in Hawaii. For spa services, you are within walking distance of the luxurious Hana Maui Resort which is also home to the renowned Hana Coast Gallery. Also, within a 10 minute walk to the town center you will find Hana Ranch Restaurant, I Love Hana gift boutique, Hana Post Office and Bank of Hawaii. There are also highly recommended local massage therapists, fitness classes, and dance and yoga classes at the Hana Arts Center. their website posts the up to date schedule for classes. For your convenience there is the historic and famous Hasegawa General Store, Hana Store ( both with groceries and ATM), Hana Farms local products and pizza restaurant, Hana Gas service station, Hana Medical Center, seven churches, and various delicious local food trucks with grilled fish, great Thai food by Pranee and many other ethnic foods. From Wainapanapa State Park, you can join a coastal path in either direction and enjoy the spectacular cliff walks. **You must make a reservation ahead of time to visit the state park or you will not be allowed access. The beauty of Hana Ocean Front Paradise and the location is difficult to capture with photos or words, but hopefully, the guests’ testaments will give you a feel for it. In Haleakala National Park you can take one of the most stunning hikes through multiple waterfalls and a bamboo forest to a majestic 400-foot waterfall. Hana Cave Tours and Pacific Tropical Botanic Kahanu Gardens are favorite activities of visitors.
