Our condo is located at Kauhale Makai “Village by the Sea”, a community nestled up against a charming beach; perfect to catch the most amazing sunsets. The property amenities include a large salt water pool, small "kiddie" pool, hot tub, volleyball court, shuffleboard decks, putting green, several BBQ grills with picnic tables and tiki torches. Surrounded by beautifully manicured grounds swaying with palm, plumeria and banana trees. This slice of paradise offers a local and relaxed setting, maintaining a vibrant community. Take a breath and experience Aloha! The entire condo is yours to enjoy. Kihei is located at the base of Haleakala, a sprawling and majestic 10,000 foot high volcano. Stunning views of the mountain are everywhere. Lined with miles of beaches, local food & shopping, and close proximity to many activities. Fun fact about Hawaii- all beaches are public! There is no such thing as a private beach anywhere in the state. Together with neighboring Wailea and Makena, the area enjoys numerous shops, restaurants and “happy hour” opportunities. Kauhale Makai is a short distance from many grocery stores, including a Safeway, Times and Foodland. If you prefer Costco or Target swing by on your way from the airport! We recommend renting a car for your stay! It is the easiest way to get around the island. The Kauhale Makai pool complex will not be available for guest use from April 22 until May 6th, 2024 as it will undergo maintenance and improvements. Our baby essentials are provided through Nokaoi Baby Rentals. Please visit their website at nakoibabyrentals to arrange your rental. You will pay them directly for the rental and they will deliver the item to your unit. Please be advised that personal package deliveries such as Amazon etc- are not permitted, unless under medical emergency and with advance approval. Kauhale Makai is located next to several pickleball courts in Kihei, which feature a great turn out every morning for recreational games! The state of Hawai'i collects a Transient Accommodation Tax of 10.25% and sales tax of 4.166%. Maui county has a Transient Accommodation Tax of 3.5%. We as hosts are required to collect this tax! Mahalo Laundry facilities are located throughout the complex and are shared. Payable via app or coins. We provide Tide pods. Our beach essentials do not include snorkeling gear as a covid precaution. Pickleball players will enjoy Waipuilani Park, just minutes down the road.
