The 1400 House - A 3 bed / 2 bath home in the center of everything Missoula has to offer. This home has been completely remodeled inside and out. It is very comfortable for up to 6 guests. Superb attention to detail insures our guests’ every need is met. The home is fully furnished and decorated featuring the work of local Montana artists and craftspersons. Outside, you will find a large, perfectly landscaped yard with tons of off street parking. The house has central heat and air conditioning. The 1400 House was decorated with the work of many local artists and furniture builders including Scott. A lot of the wood furniture was crafted right here in Missoula with wood salvaged from local buildings. The entire fence around the property was built with original wood sub-flooring from the 1400 House. There is a lot of light from the big windows and LED can lighting. Most of the house has 9' ceilings. In the kitchen you'll find local coffee and beer to get you started off right. High-end mattresses including king, queen and 2 twins will be waiting for you every night. Also available is a full sized washer/dryer. Outside there is a lot of off street parking and a very large, beautifully landscaped yard to hang out and grill with friends and family. Come check out this incredible place. Missoula's Riverfront neighborhood is smack dab in the middle of town. It is very easy to get anywhere you need to go. You'll love your walk or bike ride to the trail system that's only 3 blocks away. It's especially beautiful in the fall when the giant maple trees lining the street are changing colors. They provide lots of shade in the summer. Public transportation is very close ... and FREE. Uber services the entire city as well. Also, take advantage of the river trail system. You can get just about anywhere in town on it and hardly touch a road. The crews at one of our many bike shops can help you with the perfect bike to rent if needed. Missoula Bicycle Works is about a mile away from the 1400 house. They can help you rent a cruiser to get around town or an awesome mountain bike to enjoy one of our many world class trails. The Rattlesnake Wilderness Area is a quick bike ride away from the 1400 House. Need help finding a fly fishing / river guide to take advantage of our world-class fishing and rivers? I know some of the best guides and outfitters in the state. This home is only three blocks from Missoula’s trail system for walking or biking anywhere in town. It's only 1 mile from downtown and 1.4 miles to the University of Montana so access to The Top Hat, Wilma Theater and Griz games are a quick drive or bike ride away. The award winning Good Food Store is 2 blocks away. It's very close to the interstate so Snowbowl, Kettlehouse Amphitheater, Big Sky Amphitheater and public river access points are very easy to get to. There is a full service gym with low daily rates called The Source that is about 2 blocks away. Access to St. Patricks Hospital and Community medical Center is very easy. Your hosts, Scott and Rachel, are outdoor enthusiasts who can help with your outdoor activity plans. We can point you in the right direction whether you are hikers, cyclists, fishermen, skiers or just looking for fun ways to enjoy the local rivers. Scott is a contractor who remodeled the home and keeps it maintained in perfect working order. Rachel is responsible for the gardens which are absolutely gorgeous. The 1400 House us fully licensed and insured. It has passed all inspections by Health Department, Fire Department and City of Missoula.
