All restaurants, shops, galleries, theaters and museums are within a short walking distance. We offer a rare bonus for downtown with plenty of paved parking for you & your entourage behind our home. We can accommodates up to 4 cars in the rear of the cottage. This 120 year old historical cottage has been completely restored in recent years and is equipped with all the amenities of modern living yet keeping the ambience of yesteryear. All new plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, it is in perfect shape. The heart of pine wooden floors, stair railings and pocket doors are original to the house and have been beautifully refinished. Whether you have a group of friends or just your family, this is the downtown home that offers everything you need to build wonderful memories. The kitchen is fully functional if you prefer to eat in and relax in the warmth of the adjoining dining room. The living room offers a relaxing environment for reading, movies, games or just visiting with your friends and family. The house has two Smart TV's, each with a DVD player. We have a subscription for SLING (Live TV, 40 plus channels). Guests can use their own log ins for other Streaming apps. We are only a short 7 minute drive to the Biltmore Estate and many other highly sought after local attractions. The Biltmore Estate, built by George Vanderbilt, is the largest privately owned home in America. The Estate is world famous for replanting their splendid gardens each season. They own one of the most amazing private art collections in the world, their winery and culinary tantalizing restaurants are highly acclaimed. If visiting Asheville in December a visit to the 'Christmas at Biltmore Estate' is a must to experience. The Grove Park Inn has an amazing 'One of a Kind Nationwide Gingerbread Exhibition & Competition' held every December and the Grove Park's enormous double stone fireplaces are to be enjoyed with a steaming cup of hot chocolate. (I promise it is an unforgettable experience!!) We have made both of these events our annual Christmas traditions since discovering Asheville in 2003. The Grove Park Inn has one of the finest spas in the world and is an astonishing stone structure built at the turn of the century. We are within walking distance to the newly redesigned Pack Square Plaza that enjoys outdoor concerts and festivals throughout the seasons. All of this and much more are just minutes from our lovely cottage enjoyed by foot. The Cozy Cottage is located on Church Street only 2 blocks from Biltmore Avenue and Pack Square, the heart of historic Asheville. Restaurants, galleries, theaters, shopping, museums and historical sites are all within easy walking distance. We provide our guest with a list of restaurant recommendations and things to do.
