The Woolrych House is located immediately beachfront on the beautiful East Brewster Bay. There is a private staircase leading down to the private, stunning beach. Every day offers astounding views of the water, and every night offers breathtaking sunsets. The unique rhythm of the Brewster tide allows you to walk out onto the sand as far as 1.5 miles. Day and night swimming is incredible at high tide. The 1950's style house is located on a high bluff in East Brewster overlooking the Cape Cod Bay. The views are unbelievable; the vista is constantly changing along with the colors of the water and the clouds. You can watch a storm roll in, experience a rainbow or watch a vibrant red sunset overtake the bay in the evening. We are located in East Brewster, known for the lowest tides on Cape Cod - at low tide, the water retreats for a mile and a half! You can go for a bracing early morning swim, or wait till the tide is high at night when the water is warmer than the air, and it's just as if you are floating under the stars. At low tide you can explore the 'flats' and the creatures that live on and under them: razor clams, quahogs, hermit crabs, sand crabs, snails, minnows, and horseshoe crabs. Families play frisbee, volleyball and wiffle ball on the flats and the bay is ideal for swimming, sailing or water-skiing. A one of a kind experience for children and families! The home is tucked away in a private little enclave surrounded by lush foliage, trees and wildlife (birdwatchers delight!). A private stairway takes you down to the gorgeous, private beach area. Our outdoor patio and deck area with a fully equipped grill provide all you need to cook a killer BBQ. Two kayaks are available for use on the beach, as are beach chairs and towels. We also have an outdoor shower to hose off after your long day of fun in the sun. The house itself has been maintained and loved by the same family for 50 years. Our house is unique from others around us - as it's a HOME. We pour our hearts into the Woolrych home every passing year. Our kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook a meal with your family. Our bookshelves are loaded with good reads for lazy days on the beach. We fully provide towels, linens, sheets, and blankets throughout the home to keep you comfy. For hot summer nights, our bedrooms are air conditioned. Our home is also equally amazing in the months of September, October and November. Crisp Cape Cod days/nights on the bay are unmatched in New England. Our home offers the privacy for anyone looking to "get away from it all" to unwind, write, retreat, create art, or just simply relax. The water is still warm in the fall, making it possible to swim daily in the bay. We have a fully functioning fireplace in the living room for cozy nights. We have four bedrooms and two bathrooms (full), sleeping 10 persons (please see notes below for breakdown). You can also use the pullout sofa in the living room to sleep an extra two persons. You can safely walk or ride your bike to any number of restaurants, coffee shops and stores. You may choose to spend your whole time at 35 Dune Road (you'll find once you're there, you won't want to leave) or you’ll have the whole of Cape Cod to explore! Guests have access to the entire house, beach and bay. We supply all the essentials for a Cape Cod vacation including grills, beach chairs, use of kayaks, umbrellas, an array of beach toys, standard kitchen appliances, all towels + linens, bedroom air conditioning, full parking for up to five cars (two driveways). There is a lockbox with a code outside the house. We will provide you with the code before your stay. We are always a phone call away, and have family that live on Cape Cod, in the event that you need anything at all. We appreciate if you let us know of any issues or concerns during your stay immediately so we can make sure you are comfortable. During your stay - we will not come by unless needed, but are readily available should you need/want us! The house is located in Brewster, a picturesque Cape Cod town famous for its sea captains. There are many cafes and stores within walking and biking distance, including the charming Brewster Coffee Shop, Brewster General Store, Brewster Pizza, Cumberland Farms and Brewster Wine. Parking is available for up to five cars, and there is an alternate driveway adjacent to the front of the house to ease unloading. Uber and Lyft are readily available throughout Cape Cod. The area also offers taxi services. In the off season (October to April) our listing allows a maximum of 4 persons, any additional persons are an additional fee of $100 per person. Please be sure to indicate how many people are in your party and we will provide linens for that amount.
