Duck SeaSun is nestled in the premier community of Four Seasons in Duck. This non-smoking non-pet home provides all the comforts and conveniences for your coastal vacation. Enjoy the many decks early in the morning as you savor your morning beverage and listen to the birds and watch the squirrels run from tree to tree...or relax on the decks in the afternoon as you sip on your evening beverage and watch the sun sink down below the trees. Take a leisurely stroll down to the beach (10-15 minute walk)on one of three meandering sidewalks through the lovely Four Seasons development..or you may catch a ride on the trolley which travels through every 15-20 minutes Monday through Friday, typically 9am-6pm. There is parking at the beach /outdoor pool area; however it is limited and the early birds get the parking spots. While on the beach, enjoy walks down to the Duck Research Pier (around 1.5miles) where you may find some beach treasures along the shore line. The soundside pier is about a 5 minute walk on the other side of Duck Road, beyond the bike trail. While at the sound you may spend some time crabbing on the small sandy beach or launch a kayak or a canoe. Talk a walk to the end of the pier and relax on the built in bench as you watch the wildlife and take in the breathtaking sunsets. Shopping, restaurants and family activities are all within a short walking distance into the town of Duck. Many local favorites are Aqua Restaurant, Coastal Cantina, Roadside Grill, Blue Point, NC Coast Grill, Duck Deli, Duck Donuts & Sweet T's. You may also take advantage while you are on the Outer Banks area to visit the many lighthouses- Corolla, Bodie Island, Hatteras & Ocracoke. For the adventurous, spend time in Manteo viewing the Elizabethan Gardens, The Lost Colony, The Elizabeth II & NC Aquarium. Shop downtown Manteo, tour the Outer Banks Rum Distillery and enjoy a meal at their many restaurant options- Ortega, 1587, Lost Colony Brewery & Cafe, Poor Richards Sandwich Shop & The Hungry Pelican. Travel North to Corolla (Not on a weekend day from June-Aug) and Carova (20-30min drive). Enjoys shops, restaurants, an adventure ropes course, the Currituck Lighthouse, and or a 4wheel drive up the beach to see the wild horses. Stop in Nags Head at Jockey's Ridge State Park or in Kill Devil Hills at the Wright Brother's National Memorial and Monument. There is definitely something to do every day of the week you are on vacation that can be both fun and educational. Guest access includes the entire 2nd and 3rd levels of the home. The driveway is shared with the host. Guests have 3 parking spaces to the right of the house. The host will occupy the parking space in front of the garage (to the left) and the separate lower/ground level. This is a 3 story home. The top 2 levels (2nd & 3rd story) are available with this rental. The 2nd level includes the front entrance, wrap around deck, den, laundry room, queen master bedroom, bunk bedroom and two twin bedroom. The 3rd level includes the king master bedroom, living area, loft, kitchen, dining area, screened in porch and spacious back decks. The first floor or ground level is occupied year round by the host. It is separate from the accommodations included in your rental. The shared space is the drive way. Guests have a maximum of 3 vehicles that can be parked on the right side of the house. The space in front of the garage is reserved for the host. Minimum 7 night stay. This property rents from Sunday to Sunday. The following is a list of the starter items provided at our home: 1 paper towel roll (kitchen) 5 toilet paper rolls (1 roll by each of the 5 toilets) 1 new kitchen sponge (by kitchen sink) 1 3oz liquid dish washing detergent (by kitchen sink) 2 tall kitchen trash bags (kitchen laundry room) Relax in the spacious beachside home in the award winning, premier, gated community of Four Seasons in Duck. Amenities include: Clubhouse - Indoor pools (2), ping pong tables, exercise (treadmill, bikes, elliptical) room, weight room, men's & women's bathrooms with showers & dressing area. Outdoor Tennis Courts & Basketball court, Soundside pier, Outdoor pools (2), playground area, shuffle board and 3 trails that meander from the front entrance to the beach (1 to the North, 1 to the South and one along Four Seasons Lane. Trolly service from late May to early September. This property rents from Sunday to Sunday. The walk to the beach is about 10-15 minutes or you can take the Four Seasons in Duck Trolley which runs Memorial Day through Labor Day. The trolley travels through every 15-20 minutes Monday through Friday, typically 9am-6pm. There is guest parking at the beach /outdoor pool area as well. The Four Seasons in Duck soundside pier is about a 5 minute walk to the west. The Clubhouse, indoor pools, basketball & tennis courts are about a 2 minute walk. The top 2 levels of this home rents weekly from Sunday to Sunday. Guests have 3 parking spaces to the right of the driveway. The host will occupy the parking space in front of the garage (to the left) and the separate lower/ground level. No pets are allowed in our home. No smoking is permitted in our home or on the property. The beach (& outdoor community pools) is a 10-15 minute walk and the Four Seasons soundside pier/dock is about a 5-7 minute walk from our home.
