Escape to a remote yet convenient spot in the mountains. This cabin is an open space with a kitchen, bathroom, and loft bedroom. 1000 square feet of rustic coziness inside with all the conveniences. It is located on 15 acres with amazing views, walking/ hiking/ X country Skiing/ biking/ ATV/ snowmobiling options, foliage season, and a pond in the summer. While this cabin is situated outside of town, it is close to all the local restaurants and 20 minutes from Jay Peak Resort. This is a log cabin with a spiral staircase leading to a cozy loft that has a queen bed. Please be aware that the spiral staircase is not for the faint of heart. There is a comfortable futon downstairs and a queen bed in the loft. While there is limited sleeping space, this cabin offers a lot of common areas for a small dinner gathering. You have use of the yard and the 15 acres as well as a patio with seating and a grill. There is a volleyball net on the front lawn. This space may not be safe for young children who are learning to walk or anyone with mobility issues. Guests have access to the front yard, 15 acres of cleared and wooded land, a pond, and a patio with bbq and small fire pit. I live next door and will be available only as much or as little as you would like. I can also provide information about local attractions and local things to do. People report that there is plenty of privacy. The surrounding area is great for walks to waterfalls or watching the sunset from the berm of the pond. Amazing leaf peeping during foliage season. There are very few neighbors. The road is less traveled. You will want to have a 4WD vehicle or some very good snow tires on a FWD vehicle for winter travel. The road is dirt and can have potholes. This area has a very remote feel but all conveniences are within 10-15 minutes. The cabin is attached to a larger addition where I live. There is no cell service at the cabin. We rely on WiFi for phone access. The road is very rough.
