Our guest house "Le Petit Chalet" is only a few years old, has very beautiful wooden walls and floors, and is both elegant and warm. We love all dogs and your well behaved pet is welcome ! The house is very comfortable, with all utilities big and small including coffee machine, nespresso machine, food processor, etc Jay Peak is the best ski resort of the East, guaranteed the best snow no matter the conditions. Great for skiing and snowboarding, on the slopes and in the glades. There are 3 bedrooms: downstairs one with a queen bed, one with a bunk bed, a twin above a double, and a full bathroom. The upstairs bedroom has a king bed and its own bathroom (shower). One person can also sleep on the daybed on the upstairs mezzanine. All the beds have Ll.bean flannel sheets in the winter,so cozy ! The laundry room has front loading washing machine and dryer. The kitchen is well organized and if you are an avid cook and need a special item, we will be happy to lend you whatever we have available. There is a TV (no cable) and DVD player (we can lend tons of movies), as well as wireless internet. For our returning guests, great news, after years of struggling with rural internet, we now have Starlink, an immense improvement. We also have a foosball table that our guests LOVE ! Everything is provided for the wood stove : wood, firestarter, matches, gloves, even a hatchet if you feel like cutting your own wood or twigs. We have a nice fire pit, you are welcome to use it with wood gathered around the yard, please do not burn the logs, they are expensive and need to dry for the wood stove. Nearby Jay Peak resort is wonderful. Always well known in "hard core skiers" circles, the once-minimalist resort has undergone drastic development over the past 3 years and is now truly a 4 seasons resort. You will enjoy a beautiful arena, an amazing indoor waterpark and a beautiful golf course/country ski center. During the summer, our development has a swimming pool and a tennis court. You will also be able to canoe and hike trails, part of the long trail being a few minutes from our house. We are quite near the resort, in a secluded environment, yet close enough to the main road that you will be there in a few minutes. You will need a car. We are only 1h45 from Montreal. The entire house will be yours but for the garage, which I use for storage, and in winter for the cars. The two houses are close by so we might see one another during the summer, however there are trees to protect your deck. You will be able to use our fire pit and our asphalted play area for ball games, and the four acres of land. I will be at the main house most weekends, and always reachable by phone We are close to 242, so an easy drive to the resort, yet secluded, so we have the best of both worlds. You will need a car. Our house is set in a development called Alpine Haven, we are at the bottom, on flatter land, and you will have no trouble getting to the house. The resort is less than 10 minutes away. We are close to Montgomery Center. If you come from Canada and wish to order on the internet, I will provide my address and the parcel will be waiting for you. Parking may be tricky after a snowstorm. Guest will have two guaranteed spots. Depending on how many of us are staying at the main house, other cars might have to park further up on the road in the development.
