Our remodeled Ocean Dr. beach cottage is just yards from a private, sandy stretch of Humarock Beach and situated between the Atlantic and the South River. Perfect for a relaxing family getaway, featuring miles of beach, outdoor recreation, water sports, fishing (both shore & river), gorgeous marshland, and shops and restaurants all close by. NOW OFFERING WINTER RENTALS - Monthly from October - April. Our recently remodeled 1,620 square foot, two-story beach cottage features an open, bright first floor with kitchen/living room, full bath, spare bedroom, and additional back den / living room with fireplace. Large decks directly off both front and rear patio sliders. Upstairs includes large master bedroom with slider/balcony and river view, a bunk room that sleeps 2, and a full bath. The cottage includes three different decks, outdoor shower, great South River view too! And just enough space for family. Great beach location offers space for activities and/or privacy. Parking for 5-6 cars, first floor laundry room. We will be available to our guests by phone, email, or in person. Humarock Beach is a picturesque seaside village of Scituate, MA, surrounded by water and situated on Cape Cod Bay midway between Boston and Plymouth. This particular Ocean Drive neighborhood has always been our favorite spot on the Humarock peninsula. "Shore Bet" beach cottage is located about 150 yards from private Humarock Beach, and the same distance to the South River. It's also a short walk to the village center, and steps from the gorgeous sand dunes with protected wildlife and trails to fully take in where marsh meets sea. A few of our favorite activities are kayaking, paddleboarding, and striper fishing in the ocean and in the South River. For fishing, we surf cast, drop off the bridge, or fish from our kayaks. For the younger kids, it's beach and more beach... then a short walk to the center for some ice cream or other eats. Walk the opposite direction on the beach and enjoy low tide at "The Rocks" where the kids love the tidepools with fish, crabs, snails, starfish and other creatures. Families can enjoy their favorite food and beverages on the beach with plenty of space for corn hole, bocce, frisbee, building castles, looking for rocks and seaglass, and more. Humarock is a peninsula (some call it an island), accessible from Scituate by boat or from Marshfield by bridge. Private parking for 4-5 automobiles. Humarock is a great community to walk, bike, kayak, rollerblade, and paddleboard. There is also a local rental shop for paddleboards. We are accepting both one- and multiple-week rental reservations for Spring, Summer and Fall. We're also accepting winter rentals starting September 15 through spring. This cottage is fully winterized and has a Generac back-up generator installed. Rates and dates are flexible.
