Castaways is located on Moreton Island, in the township of Bulwer. 10kms from the ferry landing spot. If you dont have a 4wd vehicle you need to book a paid transfer to Castaways. Guests have access to pristine beaches, crystal clear waters and beautiful scenery. At the property you will find a restaurant serving Australian cuisine. Guests staying in the glamping tents have access to the communal kitchen which includes BBQ's, gas stove top, microwave, fridge, cutlery, crockery, pots and pans. Tea/coffee making facilities area also available. Castaways has equipment for hire including kayaks, stand up paddle boards and beach pushbikes. Snorkeling, sand-boarding and fishing equipment can also be purchased at Castaways Store. Guests can also relax in the garden at the property. Paid Transfers are available from the Micat ferry and MUST be organized 24hrs prior. Tangalooma is 7.5 mi from Castaways Moreton Island. This glamping tent offers a queen size bed, private en suite and a veranda overlooking the giant Melaleuca trees. The beach is just a 100 metre walk from the tent and you can grab a meal at the on-site cafe, cook on the communal BBQ in the camp kitchen or just relax and enjoy a glass of wine. There is solar power lighting in each tent. Linen and bath towels are provided. Guests will need to bring their own beach towel. Please note the property recommends you bring or purchase bottled water as Moreton Island is bore water only.
