Walk out of your gate, down to the left and the path takes you directly onto the beach. Enjoy a lovely spacious open floor plan living room and kitchen. Fully equipped kitchen. Second floor patio offers amazing views of the ocean and a half bathroom. Note: THIS PROPERTY IS 40 MINUTES SOUTH OF ENSENADA, on the Lengueta Arenosa peninsula in Punta Banda. Our pin sometimes gets moved, to the center of town, but we are NOT downtown. We will make every effort to monitor the listing and will remove this note once we are certain the problem has been resolved. This charming detached guesthouse sits behind the main house but the property is beachfront. Just step through the gate, turn left, and walk less than a minute to the beach. You have your own private entrance and your own second floor outdoor dining area with spectacular views of the ocean. From your bedroom you can hear the waves crashing. The kitchen is equipped with flatware, dinnerware, and cookware. There are also have a coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, stove and refrigerator at your disposal. After a long day on the beach you can lounge on the futon sofa and watch a DVD on the TV (sorry we don't have cable), or just pop out onto the patio and enjoy watching amazing sunsets over the water or the La Bufadora mountain (depending on the time of year) and even the city lights to the right, with a glass of wine and cool ocean breeze. There is a half bathroom on the patio upstairs. This makes visits more comfortable for parties of more than one couple. Sleeping arrangements are a king bed in the bedroom, and a full sized futon sofa in the living area (max weight 250 lbs). These accommodations are very comfortable for no more than 4 people. All essentials are provided, such as bed sheets, towels, soaps...etc. You also have closet and drawer space to put away your belongings during your stay. The guesthouse is located 40 minutes south west of downtown Ensenada on the Lengueta Arenosa Peninsula of Punta Banda. Casita Caracol is behind the main house but the property is beachfront oceanfront. SOME LOCAL ATTRACTIONS: Guadeloupe Wine Valley - Dozens of wineries and culinary masterpieces for you to explore and experience (1.5 hour drive) Santo Tomas Wine Valley - a smaller version of the Guadeloupe Valley, but the wine is also something to experience and talk about (35 minute drive) Downtown Ensenada - A bustling tourist town with lots of little artisan shops, cultural experiences, and a variety of family friendly activities to keep you busy and entertained (40 minute drive) La Bufadora - a local ocean blowhole, with plenty of local vendor and artisan shops to spend money in (12 minute drive) Horseback Riding on Playa Dorada - Enjoy a nice romantic and leisurely ride on the beach (5 minute drive) Aguas Caliente - Lava blooms heat the sand under your feet. Some people dig holes and make their own little spas on the beach. Head out of the casita, down to the beach and turn left. (20 minute walk) Playa Dorada Beach - specks of pyrite in the sand give it a glittering effect, a magical place to play and relax with family and friends ( 1 minute walk ) FISHING: For those interested in chartering a fishing boat, we can set up an early morning trip, where you can catch your dinner, come back home, cook it and enjoy fresh caught fish. Packages for up to 4 persons. TRANSPORTATION: If you are coming in from out of town with no mode of transportation, we also work with some local trusted drivers that will pick you up and bring you straight to our door for an additional fee. Please inquire prior to booking to ensure availability. Community has 24/7 security. The only shared space is the outdoor space around the fountain. You are free to come in and out of the gate as you please. PLEASE KEEP GATE CLOSED as there are sometimes stray dogs in the area. We love to host guests, but we also like our privacy. We also have 24/7 security. The neighborhood is a little secluded. However, we have established relationships with some trusted local drivers. Upon request we can arrange transportation to just about anywhere you would like to go. This community is generally very quiet and peaceful, but does host the occasional wedding and other events, especially during the summer months. So party noise may be an issue on some rare occasions.
