Guests enjoy the spacious living area, ground level concrete and brick patio overlooking a back yard fire pit and downward sloping wooded back yard with views of Lotus Lake. A 20 x 24 ft. grass, front yard parking area can accommodate an automobile towing a boat trailer. Many exciting venues and restaurants are minutes away, and the state's finest winerys are a fifteen minute drive. Access follows a concrete walkway with occasional steps to the lower level private patio door entrance; steps are not suited for a wheelchair, walkers/canes. A winding garden path provides an alternate approach. Hosts are an active couple who wish not to intrude on guest privacy, but welcome social interaction and will be available most of the time. The hosts desire to make guests feel as comfortable and at home as possible and introduce them to local amenities and experiences that will make their stay meaningful. Cottage Suite is located in a hilly neighborhood with large wooded lots, narrow streets. A walk through the neighborhood would be greeted by a mixture of adults, seniors, and families with children. An absolutely delightful mix of friendly people. Close to parks, beaches and trails where there is plenty to do, and doing nothing is a nice break. Come and ENJOY Numerous restaurants and two gourmet grocery delis are close by, approximately two miles to downtown Chanhassen or Excelsior where in summer months you can take a dinner cruise on one of the many Large Charter Cruise Ships plying the waters of Lake Minnetonka. Chanhassen and Excelsior offer bus transportation to Mall of America, downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul and points beyond. Guests may see an occasional herd of deer or fox scurry across the large back yard and hear the call of a pair of owls that occasionally land in close by trees on their way through the neighborhood. Watching squirrels is a hoot as they scrounge bird seed on the patio outside the sliding glass doors as a variety of birds look on while they wait their turn at their feeder.
