Originally built in 1840 and totally renovated in 2019, River House is located at Hill Farm, an inn with detached cottages, a restaurant and vegetable farm on a historic dairy located outside of Manchester, Vermont in the Equinox Mountain Valley. River House features two separate 4br/4ba luxury rentals - this is the unit furthest from the street. This beautiful, two story home is great for groups, complete with a gorgeous chef's kitchen, and plenty of space to gather. The 70-acre property includes walking trails along the Battenkill River, patios overlooking the mountains, a vegetable farm open for walking and grazing, along with a seasonal pool & hot tub. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities both on and off the property that connect them to the farm and the land, including culinary classes, farm tours, yoga, fly-fishing, hiking, skiing (at nearby Stratton, Bromley and Magic Mountains) and all else that Southern Vermont has to offer. The house is a four-square Victorian with high ceilings, giant windows, and a sweeping, swirling center stair. We're located on Route 7A (the Shires Byway) four miles south of Manchester. From the drive in, the property rolls out through meadows, walking trails, and tiny river beaches along the banks of the historic Batten Kill. We limit our pet policy to 2 dogs (no cats please) under 60 pounds each, for an additional pet fee. We ask that dogs be crated when left unattended. Dinner is available at Hill Farm's restaurant in the newly built barn. Reservations are required.
