Enjoy the Gulfside's uncrowded pedestrian beach (no cars allowed for 300 yards but golf carts welcomed) where you can setup your group's spot for the day on the beach to build sandcastles, jump in the surf, find unique shells and sand dollars, boogie board, shore & surf fish and build an evening bonfire. Or if preferred, utilize the available launch for your boat or fishing pier on the bayside. Some much to do so little time! Getting Around: AREA: San Luis Pass and Treasure Island have been known all over the United States for being a saltwater fishing hotspot and the most amazing sunrises & sunsets! It is 15 minutes from Surfside and across the bridge from Galveston's west end and only about 30 minutes to the heart of Galveston Island's activities. Most people come to the area to spend quality 'non-commercialized" time with family, extended family, and friend on a clean beach with excellent fishing conveniently located between Galveston and Surfside Beach. It is close enough to take a day trip to Schlitterbahn, Moody Gardens, Pleasure Pier and The Strand, or grab lunch/dinner at the numerous waterfront restaurants including the Seahorse or Beach Front Deck Bar & Grill in Surfside. NOTE: While there is a basic grocery/convenience mart (Blue Water RV Resort) within a mile and Seven Seas Grocery about 10 -15 min away, we do suggest, given this is on an island, you purchase your groceries ahead of time or at least plan to make a bit of a drive for most extensive purchases.
