When you enter the lobby, you can either walk straight back to the massage room or pass through a sliding door that takes you up to the retreat. Please note that I keep limited hours for massage clients and there MAY be a massage client(s) booked during your stay. The massage room is heavily insulated and designed for your privacy. Up one flight of stairs and you enter into a spacious family room with plenty of seating for watching movies or DishTV. We have a stocked bookcase, games and puzzles for days you just want to stay in. The fully stocked kitchen offers everything you need to prepare meals in from spices, oil, coffees teas, sweeteners...to stainless steel pots and pans, slow cooker, blender etc. We even provide you with eggs from our hens and fresh seasonal produce from the garden when available. The bedroom has a king sized SLEEP NUMBER bed. Please note EVEN BEFORE COVID... we always change the mattress pad cover, all sheets, blankets and comforter between all guests....ALWAYS ! We keep multiple sets of everything. You can feel comfortable using everything in the retreat. The bathroom has a huge walk-in tiled shower. We provided you with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, plenty of towels and other amenities. We specialize in romantic getaways to help you and your loved one reconnect. You may wish to book a massage in the Spa located on the first floor. The Massage Spa (Integrated Bodyworks, Inc) is located just downstairs from the Retreat. Enjoy the many outdoor activities or head to the town of Luray just 15 minutes away. Take a stroll down Main street, enjoy the many local shops such as Virginia Gift Shop or the Hawksbill Trading Co. Enjoy causal dining at Gathering Grounds, the Speakeasy at the Mimslyn Inn, or the Hawksbill Diner. There are several venues for music or catch a show at the PAL (Performing Arts Luray). Our Chamber of Commerce is always available to offer suggestions too. We are a 20 min ride to the Thornton Gap Entrance of Shenandoah National Park and there is a public boat landing not even a mile from the retreat Please note: We are situated in a rural community on the mountain. We are surrounded by woods. It’s very dark at night. There will be bugs outside and there may be a few bugs that sneak into the retreat. If you have an aversion to bugs, you may wish to consider another Airbnb. Although most cabins experience the same situation. If you wish to connect with nature in all its forms then book your stay with us. In addition, we have never had cameras inside or outside of our retreat. Your privacy is our upmost importance. Enjoy the flower gardens while you sip your coffee from the outdoor table and chairs. Read a book in the massage lobby. Soak in the hot tub. Enjoy toasting marshmallows at night at the fire pit. We do live onsite in a separate home. We work very hard at maintaining your privacy when you are enjoying any outdoor activities… especially when you use the hot tub. We are available for non emergency calls or text messages from 9 am to 9 pm. Emergency calls can be made 24 hours a day. Lets start with the magnificent views. followed by many outdoor activities such as kayaking on the Shenandoah , mountain biking and hiking. Our town of Luray is quaint and old fashioned. And lets not forget Luray Caverns ! Our gravel roads provide safe walking areas but yet not so rustic that you need a 4 wheel drive. Non smoking Space. No Pets allowed. Service dogs with proper ADA paperwork will be considered but therapy dogs and companion animals are not permitted at this time. Hosts, resident dog and chickens live onsite in a separate home
