This is a private room and bathroom in our family home; you likely won't see us. You do enter through the house to enter the space. This space is designed with the budget conscious traveler in mind who essentially needs a very clean, comfortable, affordable place to stay before or after a flight with our close proximity to the airport. Queen bed, four pillows, double closet, mini fridge, mini coffee pot (makes four cups), two mugs, coffee and powdered creamer, paper plates, bowls, and plastic ware, one chair for seating, small microwave. Mattress was purchased as "firm." Bathroom with single sink, shower/tub. Room DOES have an (new 7/1/21) air conditioning window unit. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, basic toiletries available under the sink. There are also two space heaters (one small and one larger) in the cabinet. Extra blankets are in the closet. There is a box fan in the closet also. Windows have screens if you like fresh air. Windows have light blocking blinds and a double set of light blocking curtains. **PLEASE READ LISTING THOROUGHLY** Access for this space is a room and bathroom on the first floor (entry floor) of our home. This space IS private; it is NOT a shared room or bathroom. Bathroom is directly next to bedroom (please see last two pics) and down a hallway that is entirely for the guest. **Please note that IT IS AGAINST AIRBNB POLICY TO DO A THIRD-PARTY BOOKING FOR ANOTHER PERSON. This is a safety, security and liability issue. The person who is booking the reservation MUST be one of the guests who arrives.** To access, you enter through front door, walk down a short hallway (10 feet) and the space is on the left. This is a room **in our house** which means it does not have a private entrance; you enter through the house. This space includes the room and bathroom only; it does not include access to the kitchen, dining room, laundry, etc. We do not offer television in this space; if television is important to you, this may not be the best choice. We try to be as clear as possible about the space offered; there is a fridge and microwave for you to use for food you may want to bring on your trip. You are welcome to check in anytime after 3 pm; I will send check in details a day or so beforehand with door codes. **Doesn't matter how late.** Lots of flights arrive into the airport very late or leave very early; this is totally fine! You are welcome to come and go as you wish after the check in time of 3 p.m. and before the check out time of 10 a.m. Room has a coded key pad lock for extra privacy and security. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the short stays and quick turnaround on this room, we are not able to accommodate early check-in/early luggage drop off or late check out. We need this time for proper cleaning and sanitation. It is helpful if you can let us know a general idea of your arrival/departure time. There is space to park ONE vehicle in front. If you bring two vehicles, a trailer, moving van, boat, etc., you will need to find an alternative space for it. This space is not pet/animal friendly. We ask the following house rules: when entering/exiting the house, please *gently* shut the front door; there is no need to slam it/let it slam. Please remove shoes upon entering as to not track in dirt, snow and rock salt. If you are a smoker, please pick up cigarette waste and do not throw it in the street in front of the house. Please do not smoke or anything of the sort in front of the house. We do not allow smoking, vaping, e-cigarettes, etc. in our home. Please do not do any vehicle repair or leave vehicle chemicals in front of the house. If you have a spill on the carpet, kindly use the carpet spray in the cabinet to clean it and let us know so we can best clean any stains. We kindly ask that you not overflow the trash can/leave bottles of water/large bags of trash/food/etc. Please clean out your car and things that you are unable to fly with *before* checking in. Guests have left piles and piles of trash/unused food in the past and we respectfully ask you not do this. **Please be respectful of the check in/out times. Its uncomfortable when guests arrive early and the cleaning crew is still here and we have to ask them to come back. Conversely, it is equally as uncomfortable when people ask "is just an extra 30 minutes ok?" and we reply that it is not agreeable. The cleaning crew needs to be able to access the space and is often on a tight schedule. So even an additional 15-30 minutes affects a lot of people/moving parts. The cleaners also ask that guests not "come in early just to drop off their luggage." **When winter arrives and snow comes, we continually clear/shovel our outdoor sidewalk and steps and use ice melt. However, you may arrive or depart prior to us clearing after a snowfall. PLEASE USE CAUTION as steps can become icy** We are often away, but I am always available by phone. Quiet residential neighborhood. Zero traffic. Parking is on street in front of the house. There is space for ONE vehicle. PLEASE PULL ALL OF THE WAY FORWARD TO THE FIRE HYDRANT AND PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN FRON TOF ANY OTHER HOUSES OTHER THAN OURS. In the event of an emergency/fire: you can open and climb out the window that is not used for the air conditioning unit. You can also exit the room and turn right to exit main door of house or turn left to exit through the dining room door to the backyard. We also have a 5 lb. Yorkie named Frankie who you likely won't see, but want guests to know is in the house. Please note: We DO NOT charge a cleaning fee. We have taken this into consideration when setting our price. We believe we offer an incredibly comfortable, convenient, affordable, value priced and clean space for guests. While longer stays are certainly welcome, this space is ideal/designed for guests who need a place super close to the airport for one or two nights. We aren't a luxury brand hotel and don't offer the amenities one would expect at a five star hotel; and aren't priced as such as that's not the traveler we are looking to serve.
