Treetops Suite for Two @ 7th Street Retreat
Treetops for 2 is located in the heart of Winona. The upstairs apartment has a secure, self check-in entrance located at the back of the house, has 1 BR (double bed), bathroom (shower), kitchenette and living area. It has a remote controlled heating/cooling system, cable and internet-enabled TV/DVD, and Wi-Fi. Guests share the driveway, back entrance, laundry room, and back patio. The steps up to the apartment are steep. The space is 3 blocks from a charging station. Treetops is a cozy apartment in the house built by John Dobbs for his family in 1871. Dobbs was a pioneer of Winona, he ran its first newspaper, the Republican Herald. The house is in the the center of town, close to the downtown area and next to Winona State University. It's at the hub of what's happening in today's vibrant cultural scene. Treetops is a great place to stay to take in the many wonderful attractions Winona has to offer. Stay for a weekend, a week or a month and attend one of our many festivals as well as enjoy all the culture, scenic beauty and outdoor recreation in the area. You will be staying in the upstairs, back part of the house. The owners, Steve and Nancy Bachler, were born and raised in Winona and look forward to answering questions about their town and region. Along with the house manager, they'll be at your disposal throughout your stay. If you need us we're only a phone call away. We'll be happy to greet you, or you can just let yourselves in and make yourselves at home. Enjoy! Centrally located, the house is next to the WSU campus, only 2 blocks from downtown, and 7 blocks from the Mississippi River to the north and Lake Winona to the south. The house is very convenient for Winona's many local festivals. Museums, restaurants, bars, movie theaters, shops, the public library and many churches are also in walking distance. Since we're located in the heart of town most downtown places are in easy walking distance. There are three bus routes. Lyft service is available. There are wonderful cycling and walking opportunities including the beautiful path that goes around Lake Winona and the panoramic overlook of the Mississippi River as you cross the Interstate Bridge linking up with the Flyway Trail. In the winter Winona features one of the best ice climbing experiences in the country! The owners speak French, German and Spanish and a little bit of Norsk.
