Escape the city or just come for the change of scenery. The area is beautiful year round and has countless outdoor activities. A spacious and open layout makes it cozy even when you have to stay inside. There are three bedrooms. The master has its own full bathroom and the other bedrooms are in close proximity to the other bathroom. There’s white carpeting in the rooms and parts of the living room, otherwise hardwood and tiles. We have a no shoe policy in the house because of the rugs. Whether the fall foliage, the winters snow, the spring birds or summers by the pool (closed from sept to may), the house always seems to offer a perfect dose of escape. You’re only about a 2 hour drive from NYC and reasonably close to so many activities. Hiking, kayaking, biking, breweries, wineries, storm king, New Paltz, Accord, Beacon, Kingston, etc… are just a few that come to mind. Happy to share any tips and favorite places. There’s a BBQ outside by the pool along with lounge chairs and a table. Can get quite sunny during certain hours. The kitchen inside is fairly well equipped. We prefer the use of the reusable plastic cups especially when in the pool area. Everything except the basement, attic and garage. As well as any drawers or closets labeled as such. There's a ring alarm and 3 cameras inside to remove and put back at the end of the stay. Lots of activities nearby, but a car is required. Uber does serve the area, so you could manage without your own car. The Poughkeepsie train station is a 10-15 minute drive. Space for 2-3 cars in the drive way. Almost everything requires a car to get around. Bad seed cider is within walking distance. ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIES. Must get written authorization to have more than 6 guests. If you do not have an Airbnb review history, we will want more information before we can accept the booking. Please note we have an extra cleaning fee for any damage to the rugs (the fee is exactly the cost of cleaning or replacing the damaged area). The pool can be heated for an extra fee, which will depend on the current gas prices. Pool cleaning is not included for extended stays (over 25 days). It can be up to $175/week with taxes and chemicals (we do not upcharge this and use a local company)
