The decor or 'V'House' ( working title) we're just getting started, is a three bedroom, big kitchen cottage house in the heart of downtown Lake Charles. 2 caretakers live here, have their own rooms and work on the property. There is access to bikes from next door Common House and it's a 3 minute ride to the lake. Groceries are a mile south, as well as the I10 bridge just north of us. You room is in the middle on the south side of the house, near the bathroom; it has its own ac window unit and central heat in the winter. Laundry basket is in the bathroom, bottom shelf, for linens to be washed. For your own laundry, Bow Tie on Broad street is a few blocks; Laundry World is 4mi. away; great laundry-mat! they will also wash dry & fold; just drop it off in the morning and pick up in the evening! As we grow, except caretaker rooms, guests will have access to all areas - extra bath house and laundry room will be available as well, hopefully by this coming holiday season. Caretakers are friendly and busy but always have time to chat or help with local knowledge as well will I. Never hesitate to text, or call on us if you ever have an issue or questions Living downtown is awesome. Close to restaurants, coffee shop, yoga center and lakefront - easy and historic, very nice place to walk the neighborhood. Again, parking is minimal; but available for 3cars, one for each bedroom, and bus transportation is just down the street. Please be mindful of shared areas, including the parking area; we can get three cars in the back if everyone complies.
