Mountain Artsy House - is a beautifully decorated, four bedroom house nestled in the Helena National Forest. Come relax in this mountain retreat space! You will feel far away from the hustle and bustle of town, yet you are only 5 miles from the city center. This beautifully fully furnished four bedroom house has lots of art, thus named, "Mountain Artsy House." (Check out my house in town, (where I live), called, "Artsy House." This house is split into two apartments - one per floor. If you only need a 2 bedroom space, check out, "Mountain Artsy House - Lower Level, or Mountain Artsy House - Top Floor.) Otherwise, the whole house works well for families or other groups. For any musicians out there, there are two pianos on property! (One per floor) This house is built into the side of the mountain, with the bottom floor having a walk-out basement with large new windows and glass doors facing the pond area in front of the house. The top floor has a large "great room" - kitchen/dining area/living room, with huge windows to the front. Of course the setting is a picturesque postcard landscape with the house nestled into the mountains. You will feel like you are camping. In reality, you will sleep comfortably on one of four queen sized mattresses. Read a novel in front of the wood fireplace downstairs or the pellet stove upstairs, cook a fine meal in the big open kitchen upstairs, or relax while watching nature while sitting on the large deck, (lots of deer and chipmunks, occasional black bear, moose, and I once saw a mountain lion!) Again, the house is split into two separate apartments, with each floor having it's own kitchen (large upstairs kitchen, small kitchen downstairs), living room, dining area. Upstairs has two bathrooms, and the downstairs has one. Guest can book one floor or the whole house by booking both floors (listed at Mountain Artsy House - top floor, and Mountain Artsy House - Lower Floor) There also is a lovely garage apartment in the detached building. (Check out - Mountain Artsy House - Guest House.) Guests can, if fact, book all three, making this property an ideal place for a family reunion! There are world-class biking trails close by! Specifically, there is a wonderful, long walking/biking trail that is around the corner from this property. This trail, called "The Ridge Trial," eventually takes you to Mount Helena! And even though you may feel like you are a million miles away from the hustle an bustle of town life, in reality, you are only 5 miles/7 minute drive from the edge of the edge of town. Sorry... no TV. You will just have to learn to play the piano, or go for a walk! I do have limited wifi - with satellite internet service. Please, no streaming movies or videos as this eats too much data. Cell service is spotty, with Verizon being the best option. Well behaved dogs or cats okay. No smoking The property is nice for just hanging out. I have a big picnic table outside. Fires in the fire ring must be okayed with me. (dependent on fire conditions, of course.) Feel free to use the laundry room downstairs. Again, this property is set in the Helena National Forest. It is a short drive to town.... but is a remote site - one mile on a dirt road. If you are looking for a neighborhood, this is not the place. This property is nestled in between two hills, and you can not see any neighbor's houses. However, as I stated, there may be guests staying in the garage apartment (detached building.) Parking is no problem here! There is room for multiple cars. I live in town, (at my Artsy House), but would love to drive up to this property to meet you and to show you around! I may have guests staying in the garage apartment (detached building). Please be cognizant of your noise level if there are other guests on the property. This property is one mile on a dirt road. In the winter, this road is well maintained (plowed) as it is on a school bus route. Internet works great here. However, I pay for limited data, so please no streaming movies or videos. Cell service is spotty with Verizon being the best and some other carriers having no service at all.
