Laurelhurst Park Retreat, light-filled and fun.
A Portland classic in one of the city's most vibrant neighborhoods, our home provides a central location to explore and a quiet respite. We are across the street from historic Laurelhurst Park and walking distance to Whole Foods, Laurelhurst Theater and some of Portland's best restaurants, bars, and ice cream. Our 100 year old home is a comfortable, colorful, and spacious place to relax and call home while you're traveling. On the main floor you'll enter into a sizable front hall, find a fully stocked kitchen, and light-filled dining and living rooms. The dining room has a table that can easily fit 8 (with additional leaves if you are hosting a meal for more). The living room has French doors that lead t the backyard and patio. There is also a 1/2 bath. Upstairs, has a master bedroom w/ king bed , French doors and private balcony, great for morning coffee or sunsets. A second bedroom has a queen bed. A spare room has the option of one or two singles. There is one full bathroom upstairs. The house has a private patio, BBQ and is lushly landscaped. It is a perfect yard and patio for evening dinners and long evening visits. Past guests regularly appreciate the decor, cleanliness, nice neighbors and great location. During the summer, there are frequent events in Laurelhurst Park, across the street. Our location is also ideal for neighborhood walks to multiple shopping and restaurant districts- 28th and Burnside, Belmont, Hawthorne and Division. On and off street parking is available. I 'm rarely town during your stay but will always be available by phone, possibly available to drop by if needed and respond to needs as they may arise during your visit. We live in the Laurelhurst neighborhood, full of locally owned businesses including coffee houses, restaurants, bars, historic homes and Laurelhurst Park. There is a Whole Foods a few blocks away. We're within close walking distance to other popular commercial districts- SE Belmont and SE Hawthorne. Amazing transportation options abound - from neighborhood car and bike sharing to transit (the 20 bus to downtown is a block away). On rare occasion a renter may be in the apartment downstairs. The unit is entirely separate from the main floors of the house. It has its own side entrance.
