We are 1 mile to downtown Eastsound, even closer to North Beach and just .3 miles from the airport. We have a relaxed community vibe with 3 rooms upstairs that are rented to travelers. This is a private room upstairs, with 2 full shared bathrooms and excellent light. Enjoy a view of the forest, garden and pond and fall asleep to the relaxing trickle of the pond. There is a desk and closet. There are two neighboring rooms that may be occupied by other guests; this room shares one direct wall. We are surrounded by quiet natural forest with few direct neighbors. The downtown area is relaxed with an artistic vibe that is great for exploring by foot or bike. Check out Turtleback Mountain, Moran State Park or Mountain Lake for hiking. Gertie's and The Outlook Inn offer great fresh food with many vegetarian options, as do several others. Island Hoppin’ Brewery is walking distance away and you can borrow our growler to fill or bring your own. The Barnacle is a craft cocktail bar with light food and fabulous ambience. You are welcome to bring one vehicle to our oasis on Orcas Island. However it is highly recommended to take the ferry as a walk on passenger to avoid frustrations with the ferry system. With that in mind please book your reservation to bring your vehicle in advance to be sure you have a guaranteed space. Feel free to bring your own bicycle or use one of ours that we offer to guests on a first come, first served basis. We are in a great location to bike to town and many people bike here from the Ferry. If you are riding your bike here we recommend taking Dolphin Bay Road to avoid traffic. There is also a taxi, call ahead to reserve, and for the adventurous – hitchhiking is very common on the island. Permit number 160037
