All areas except for locked closets are available to guests. Smoky Mountain Retreat is the property management company for this property along with other we list. Our rental office is open Monday- Friday 10-5 p.m. guests will be provided with all contact information after booking. We allow after-hours and weekend check-ins and you will be provided with a contact person during this time as well. Smoky Mountain Retreat is a 1,000 acre gated community in the Eagles Nest subdivision located in Maggie Valley, NC. Our community provides a playground and picnic area as well along with a fire-pit and streams from the cascades in the mountains. The Smoky Mountain Retreat at Eagle’s Nest subdivision does not permit motorcycles, slingshots or trailers in the community. Feel free to drive around the community to some overlook spots and see Maggie Valley, Waynesville, and even Lake Junaluska from the top. The roads are paved all around the subdivision with some sharp switchbacks and steep roads. We highly recommend a 4wd during the winter season. At the time of your arrival, you will check-in into the rental office where you will be given the gate access code into the community and everything you need to get into your cabin. There are so many things to do around Maggie Valley. Just about 15 minutes away from Smoky Mountain Retreat follows into the strip with plenty of shops to visit such as for ice cream, crafts, gems, food and souvenirs. Also Wheels Through Time a historical motorcycle museum. Following Maggie Valley also visit Cherokee where Harrah’s Casino is located, then explore into the Blue Ridge Parkway for breathtaking views. Downtown Waynesville that is also about 15 minutes away walk through and visit restaurants, shops & breweries. Asheville that is approximately 35 minutes explore Americas Largest Home, The Biltmore Mansion. Sierra Nevada Brewing Company and tour the production facility.
