This beautiful 1920s cabin overlooking the Yellowstone River has been restored into the ultimate getaway. We recently painted the entire house as well as updated decor and added new kitchen gadgets. Our cabin contains all of the comforts of home with 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath, a well stocked full kitchen, laundry services, two living spaces and a large deck with plenty of seating and a grill. ** To take full advantage of the stunning scenery, there are picture windows in the kitchen and a wide open, panoramic view from the beautiful, hand crafted deck. On the deck you can watch and listen to the river go by. The cabin itself can sleep 4-6 people. We have 2 bedrooms (a master bedroom with a single queen and a guest room with two queen beds), 1 bathroom well stocked with towels and toiletries, 2 cozy living spaces (with a TV, books, games and comfortable seating) and a fabulously stocked kitchen with a view you'll never want to leave. As a lover of cooking myself, I have put a lot of my favorite tools in the rental so it is easier for you to cook at home should you want to. We have a grill on the deck and the local market is very well stocked with a great butcher, delicious cheeses, good produce and a diverse beer and wine section. We also have at least one growler you can use during your stay to fill at the Wonderland Cafe just down the road. As mentioned, we recently updated the cabin. We repainted both the exterior and the interior, we installed a 'take one leave one' library, have hung new art and added more tools to the kitchen. As a guest you have access to the entire upstairs of the home. We (your hosts) live in the cabin out back, so we ask that you don't go down the stairs on the east side of the house. That leads to our space. We try to make ourselves available during your stay if you would like to chat about anything or need assistance. We live in the cabin out back, so are quite close. We think the view from our property is the best in Gardiner. The cabin sits above the Yellowstone River and looks directly into Yellowstone National Park with views of the Black Canyon of the Yellowstone, Rattlesnake Butte and Mount Everts, all from the kitchen window. We’ve been known to have elk, bison, bighorn sheep, mule deer, marmots and other critters walking around the property and sometimes even bedding down in the back yard. Other animals spotted in the surrounding hillsides includes black bear, wolves, coyotes, foxes, waterfowl, and various song birds. We feel this property is within comfortable walking distance of everything in town; restaurants, adventure companies, the North Entrance of Yellowstone and even to the market (.5 mile away). It's best to arrive by car, but once you are here, the town itself is easily navigated on foot. The cabin is wheelchair accessible. The entry way door is 36" and bedroom doors are 31." There is a ramp available to access the front deck, however it is not always in place (therefore not pictured as yet). Please indicate a ramp is desired when you book. Please no pets. No fires in the fireplace. Absolutely NO smoking on our property! This includes both inside and outside on the deck(s). Zero. None.
