Kapaa has a small town feel and the resort is within walking distance of restaurants, boutiques, shopping and grocery stores. And if you’re there on the first Saturday of the month, Kapaa features live music, local crafts and food. You can rent bicycles right next door to the Pono Kai and located within 5 minutes from all water activities; canoeing, kayaking, surfing, etc... The Pono Kai Resort has many amenities and activites on site including a swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, tennis, basketball, exercise room, shuffle board, horse shoes, mini golf, croquet court, board games, just to name a few. There are also BBQ`s located throughout the resort and laundry facilities located within each building.
