The historic Schloss Prielau (Prielau Castle) is located on the northern shore of Lake Zell, surrounded by a park and only 220 yards from the lake. First mentioned in 1425, Prielau Castle was turned into a luxury hotel in the late 1980s. Behind the castle there are ponds for fish farming and a pen for raising deer. The spire of a beautiful baroque chapel rises above the towers of the castle at a discreet distance.
