In peak season we operate Thursday to Thursday stays. **Parking permit available to purchase with each booking** Nestled in the heart of historic Dartmouth, this two bedroom, whitewashed Georgian cottage is brimming with character and charm. Just a short walk from the centre of this vibrant seaside town, Fisherman’s has a sense of tranquillity to it, both inside the cottage and in the leafy walled garden, even in the height of the summer. Light filled rooms and coastal decor make for a warm and welcoming atmosphere, while the large dining room and adjoining galley kitchen provide a convivial space for eating with friends and family. For cosy, quiet nights in, there’s a wood burning stove in the living room, a cupboard full of games and a smart TV. Upstairs there’s a double bedroom which opens onto a small, raised deck to the rear of the property where you can sit and enjoy the evening sun with views over the town. The front bedroom is light and airy with high ceilings and views of Dartmouth. This room has 2 single beds, but the mattresses are easily zip-linked to configure this room as another double. The bathroom is upstairs and features a bath with overhead shower, as well as a toilet. Outside, the wildflower garden and decking area make for an idyllic location for an alfresco breakfast, balmy evening barbecue, or simply as a place to sit quietly and read a good book. Recommended for: The cottage is ideal for two couples or small families. Favourite feature: The wildflower garden offering plenty of space for time outside and for kids to play safely. About a holiday in Dartmouth: On the mouth of the River Dart, Dartmouth’s history dates back to 1086 and weaves across the centuries as a port down brimming with intrigue. From piracy to smuggling and literary inspiration, it even warranted a mention in Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales. Today Dartmouth is famous for its annual Royal Regatta, naval college, colourful harbour and culinary delights. From buzzing pubs under Tudor beams to fishing, sailing and adventuring to the historic castle and pretty local beaches - Dartmouth is a fantastic base for a holiday in South Devon. Changeover days are usually on a Thursday so bookings should start and end on a Thursday. At busy times a 7-night minimum stay is required. Whilst there is no parking at the property, a parking permit is available to purchase and gives free parking both in Dartmouth and nearby town car parks. Need to know... The property is accessed by 30 or so steps so is unsuitable for disabled access. Pets are not allowed at this property.
