You can rent a car if you like your freedom. Buses are available around the country (main cities) and are very inexpensive. Taxis are reasonable and give you the opportunity to discover without any stress. Other Things to Note Our currency is the Belize dollars and one US dollar is equivalent to two Belize dollars. We do not have a black market. Belizean are wonderful people and always ready to help without any bad intentions or requesting any money.
