Exclusive apartment perfect for a weekend getaway or long term stay in a privileged location. Lares is a Spanish-era hidden gem and a perfect for an off-the-beaten-path experience in one of the smallest, happiest, and safest towns in PR. Lares is great for nature lovers since it is situated in the heart of the mountains and coffee growing region. Villa Patria is located in the downtown (but quiet) area. For long term stays, telework equipment and cleaning services can be provided upon request. Your home away from home will be a first floor apartment of a colonial-style house within an acre of land. Our family has been living in this land since early 1900s and the current property owners live upstairs on a part-time basis. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen bed, drawers and closet space. Second bedroom has a twin bed and closet space. The living area includes a full size sofa bed. Full-size bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, full size refrigerator, washer/dryer, fast Wi-Fi (up to 100mbps), and water heater. No A/C, but you will not need it thanks to the cool, gentle mountain breeze. In addition, includes ceiling/wall fans in every room and living area. Self check-in anytime with lock box and code. Parking for 2 cars in the left side of the property. Upon request, telework equipment (24" monitor, keyboard, mouse, webcam, desk, office chair, surge protector) is available to use during your stay. For long term stays, ad-hoc interim cleaning services can be arranged for an additional fee. The guest will have access to the downstairs apartment, balcony, left side parking and front yard. Access to upstairs, front creek, and back/sides farm area is prohibited. We are usually upstairs and available for any help and to clarify any open questions. Please note that we are not English fluent. As an option, you can send messages to the Airbnb inbox and my son can translate any questions that you might have and provide assistance as needed. Villa Patria is the perfect place to breathe fresh air and enjoy peace in a secluded space. Enjoy the best that Puerto Rico has to offer! Located in Downtown Lares just walking distance from the town square, great restaurants, worldwide famous ice cream parlor (Heladeria Lares) and bars. Conveniently located near Los Patriotas Avenue (Carr #111) and #129 roads for easy access. Villa Patria can be used as a safe main hub to explore the nearby mountain region and west coast. 1.5 hours from SJU and 1 hour from BQN. Villa Patria does not have power generator or water reserve. Villa Patria is very close to the main hospital so outages in our neighborhood are rare. Still, potential outages are beyond our control and, usually, the power is back within a couple of hours. Lares is known as "La Ciudad del Grito" (the city of the uprising).
