The views of Lake Hodges are extraordinary, as are the grounds. The home is full of custom touches as Lea is a interior designer. Sandblasted floor etchings, 10+ ft ceilings with sandblasted beams, arches & niches along with custom furniture throughout. Wall murals, and faux-finished walls are throughout. The custom kitchen has large ridge skylight, and there is a 30 ft round entry turret with a winding staircase to the second floor master suite, 5th bedroom & office w/ balcony. Guests have access to the bulk of the property (5000 sf), including the entry courtyard with fireplace, the spacious kitchen and dining area, the family and living rooms, the outdoor covered kitchen with barbecue and pizza oven, powder room, half bath with outdoor access, five bedrooms, four of which have dedicated full baths, and many of the rooms have beautiful lake views. I will personally be there to greet you, give you a quick walk through and to answer any questions you may have. I will also be available by phone out text anytime during your stay. Our villa is set above Lake Hodges in a neighborhood with rolling hills, perfect for walking and running, especially in early morning and before dusk. You can also rent a boat or kayak down on the lake! Villa de la Cresta is approximately 4-5 miles from the transportation center with the Sprinter, a train service, and from downtown Escondido, where there are a number of restaurants, brew pubs, wine bars, and shopping, along with The Centre for the Arts Escondido. Bus access is within 1-2 miles. North San Diego County is uniquely situated and centrally located to allow our guests to visit many attractions, both here in San Diego and in Los Angeles County, in addition to the peace and restfulness of the property itself. We are within easy driving distance to the Safari Park, the beach, La Jolla, the Del Mar Racetrack, local wineries, Temecula wineries, the San Diego Gas lamp Quarter, Little Italy, Disneyland, Universal Studios, and even Laguna Beach We have a beautiful video of our Villa, shot with a drone, that we can share with you once you have booked.
