Next to Belmont University and near Vanderbilt Medical Center and University, Selah House is one block from 12 South a favorite shopping and restaurant district. Craftsman Style home with high ceilings, wood floors and fireplaces, large sitting porch, English Garden and back deck with gazebo and fenced in backyard. 4 spacious bedrooms comfortably sleep 6-10 and a formal dinning room seats 10, making it especially good for family gatherings or reunions. Bands have called it home while recording There is nothing generic about this home, we have lived here 31 years and have an eclectic style with antiques, original art and numerous books and live plants. There is a baby grand piano, upright piano and an antique pump organ and victrola. The 100 year old house has larger rooms than are typical in younger homes, that and 12 ft ceilings and wood floors give you room to breath. You will have use of the entire house, 2400 square feet. We have a separate access basement apartment with sound proofing between. We are available if you need us but you have the place to yourself. There are several beautiful walks you can take from our front door, Belmont University campus, Sevier Park, Belmont Boulevard, 12 South shops and Restaurants,with famous coffee gathering spots, rental bikes are close too. There's always plenty of Lyft or Uber cars in the area. City Buses pick up one block from our house. There's parking in front of the house and around the corner on 15th. Ave. Many of our guests have enjoyed family time in the house without even leaving! There are numerous games, movies, interesting books and art. the children stay entertained for hours with things in the play area, they especially enjoy the costumes. during Covid it helps to be together in a safe environment. We are next door to Belmont campus which is provides beautiful walks through manicured gardens and epic architecture. Masks are required on campus. There are shops and many excellent restaurants two blocks away in 12th South and Severe Park just beyond that with a large playground and walking trails.
