Exotic Serenity Yurt
Enjoy the sounds of nature and the the brilliant show of stars in the night sky through the dome skylight when you stay in this unique Mongolian Yurt on the 156 acre Santa Fe Treehouse Camp and Wilderness Preserve. Just 30 minutes SE of the historic Santa Fe Plaza you drive up 1.3 miles of dirt road with beautiful views to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Close access to hiking trails and the National Forest. Leashed pets are welcome with pet fee. NOTE: No smoking allowed. This beautiful round space with views of the Sangre De Christo Mountains will hold you in comfort. Set up with a queen bed and two double sized futon beds with linens for a good nights sleep. It is just a 40’ walk to the Communal Birdbath restrooms and showers. The outdoor communal cooking shelter with all that you will need to prepare your own meals is just a minute further up the road. NOTE: If we are in a cold year we may have to shut down the kitchen starting in October. Please plan to go out for your meals during those times. Leashed dogs are welcome with the $10 per dog/ per night fee. This space has electricity and a portable radiant heater and fan.. The yurt is your private space as well as your own private propane fire pit and sitting area. Hosts Brad and Ciana live on the property and are available most of the time if you need anything. We live up a quiet dirt road with very few neighbors. You will hear the sound of the wind in the trees and the birds calling. Located less than an hour from Santa Fe Ski area, 20 minutes from Museum Hill, 25 minutes from Meow Wolf, 30 minutes to Old Town Santa Fe Plaza, Canyon Rd and the famous Santa Fe Opera you are not far from all that Santa Fe has to offer. Harry's Road House and Cafe Fina (two much loved restaurants) are just 15 minutes down the road as well. We are not near public transportation so you will need your own vehicle. Be aware that the dirt roads can be snowy or muddy in early spring, late fall and winter and at the rare times of summer Monsoons, muddy and bumpy. At those times of the year, we recommend a car with front-wheel, all- track or four-wheel drive and good traction tires. You can park within a minute walk to the yurt for ease of loading and unloading. This space has electricity and a portable radiant heater and fan. WiFi is close by and cellphone reception can be poor depending on your carrier-Verizon works best here.
