The Indianapolis Propylaeum is a Victorian Mansion dating back to 1890. Located minutes from downtown Indianapolis, the mansion features 6 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, and several shared open spaces, expanding over three floors and 16,000 square feet. Each room has a different layout, but all feature antique furniture, detailed architecture, and a history beyond belief. The shared spaces includes two front parlors, one large meeting room, a conference room, a study, a dining area, and of course, a third floor ballroom. Our mansion is nestled in the Old Northside, described as "a neighborhood with classic charm with an urban edge, making it one of Downtown's most sought after addresses". With over 10 coffee shops & cafes within 1 mile from the mansion, as well as many local breweries and distilleries nearby, this is the perfect location for your stay. We have an on-site innkeeper stay overnight during your visit. They will not be at the mansion 24/7, but they will be available via text/phone constantly, and will be at the Propylaeum overnight. Guests will have access to all 6 bedrooms, the 1st floor parlors, the dining room, the porch, and the on-site parking lot. The guests do not have access to our commercial kitchen, however, there is a fridge and microwave. Our innkeeper can take care of smaller kitchen needs , such as ice. Located in the beautiful Old Northside, we are minutes from downtown Indy, but far enough away that it is much quieter. It's easy to grab an Uber or even take a 15 minute walk to get downtown. We are just 3 blocks from the IN-65 ramp making it convenient to get to the suburbs as well.
