This 1908 Arts & Crafts home is ideal for families or design-saavy renters seeking a classy LA experience in one of the city's coolest historic neighborhoods. The wonderful wrap-around front porch is perfect for morning coffee, people-watching, or entertaining. The downstairs is light-drenched and features an ultra-comfy open floorplan, with a fireplace, playroom and chef-friendly kitchen. Upstairs are two full bathrooms, three full bedrooms, a hidden reading nook, and a bonus toddler bedroom. The entire 1414 property is available to you when you rent, including the yard, and front porch. The connected 1416 studio unit is not included. We, the owners, will often stay there, while the main unit is rented. Angelino Heights is LA's oldest surviving neighborhood and is famous for its beautiful Victorian and Craftsman homes, which are often featured in major motion pictures and television series. There are numerous cool bars and restaurants within walking distance. And of course, Echo Park Lake. The house is nicely situated in the center of Angeleno Heights, so it is largely insulated from the commotion of the city. That said, one only has to talk 5 minutes north to reach Sunset Blvd, where there are numerous restaurants and bars. Also, a ten minute walk westward will take you to Echo Park Lake - hands-down, L.A.'s nicest public park. There are fantastic public transportation options. A quick bus or uber will take to Union Station downtown, where you can take trains all over the city, as well as convenient airport shuttles. My wife, daughter and I live in this home (unless it's being rented). It is fully furnished, including nice linens and lots of other creature comforts you'd expect from a family. We will actively do whatever we can to ensure you have a great stay. Do not hesitate to reach out (via the air bnb app) with any concerns, questions or requests you might have. Since we only do 30-day and longer rentals, we will not provide expendable items, like toilet paper and soap. When we rent the main unit, we will stay in the connected studio unit. It has its own entrance so we won't be in each others' way. Also, very important to mention, we agree to rent the furnished apartment strictly for the dates of the airbnb contract, which does not constitute a lease, and does not grant renter any option to extend. My wife daughter and I reside here, and we rent it in intervals to courteous, trustworthy vacationers. We do not want squatters or trouble. We are a family of lawyers and realtors. Respectfully.
