Wake at the Lake! Misty Pine Cabin is located steps from the waterfront of Norway Lake in Pine River. The level lake lot makes it easy to enjoy the serenity of lake life, including floating, boating, wildlife watching and stunning sunsets. Norway Lake is a full recreation lake, offering some of the best fishing and ice fishing around. The private cabin sleeps 8 people, with two bedrooms (one King and one Full) on the main level. A second-story open loft features two additional Queen beds and an adjacent lounge area, complete with comfy couch perfect for cozying up with a book and a gaming / puzzle table. All of the beds feature Casper memory foam mattresses. The dining and family room allow for gathering and connecting with loved ones, perfect for movie or game nights overlooking the shoreline from every angle. Skylights and windows galore bring in great natural light to really make you feel like you’re nestled in the pines. Look no further for a true Minnesotan cabin experience! House amenities include a fully equipped kitchen suitable for serving 8 guests, one Smart TV with Roku streaming, and high speed Wi-Fi throughout the house fit for remote work. Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile all have great cell service in the area as well. The cabin has a centrally located mini-split air conditioner that keeps the cabin cool even on the hottest summer days. Radiant heating keeps the cabin toasty in the coldest months and there is also a gas fireplace for a cozy ambiance. The outdoor space features a picnic table that seats 8, a gas grill, a fire pit with 8 Adirondack chairs, and a dock. Cast a line as sunnies, crappies, northern pike, perch, large mouth bass and dogfish have all been caught right along our shore. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine while taking in some of the most beautiful Minnesota sunrises, sunsets, and stars! Guests will have full access to the cabin and outdoor space. We do not give guests access to the garage. There is paved parking with plenty of room for up to 5 cars. Guests may also store recreational equipment and trailers on the side lawn. The Norway Lake public boat launch is located 1 mile down our road from the cabin. It is easy to find as the road dead-ends at the boat launch. Boats are welcomed to be tied up to our dock during the duration of your stay. The property is yours to enjoy during your stay. We work to respond very quickly, both remotely and in person, to issues that arise. Located a short drive North of Brainerd, Pine River provides central access to the best destinations of Minnesota’s Bold North. Misty Pine is a great middle ground for all your daytime adventures, perfectly situated within 20 minutes of Crosslake, Nisswa, Spider Lake ATV Trails, and Hackensack. Within minutes of the cabin, the city of Pine River has plenty to offer including local shops, restaurants, and an amazing bakery. There is easy access to the Paul Bunyan Bike and Snowmobile Trail, a Community Bowling Alley, and a newly-renovated playground/picnic/swim area near the Pine River riffle dam. Bring your kayak or canoe to launch at the dam and travel all the way to the Whitefish Chain on the Pine River State Water Trail! In the winter, you’ll have direct access to the lake with your snowmobile, cross-country skis and snowshoes, right from the property! Misty Pine cabin provides all your living essentials, all you have to do is bring your own toys. NOTES ABOUT NORWAY LAKE: This lake is 515 acres in size and is approximately 12 feet deep at its deepest point. It is a full recreation lake, with most lake-goers using fishing, pontoon or smaller power boats. Many of our neighbors tube and ski, however large wake boats would likely be more difficult to use due to their depth and the shallowness of the lake. Anglers can expect the full spectrum of Minnesota fish species. Please be aware that our shoreline is sandy but shallow, with the area surrounding our dock only between 3-4 feet deep. It is perfect for getting a boat in and out or fishing, but would likely be unappealing for kids looking for a deep area to jump and swim. Absolutely no diving is permitted. Our beach area is best suited for wading or floating on blow-up toys, and not ideal for those looking for deep swimming. Most folks on our lake use their boats/kayaks/paddle boards to get to the deeper parts of the lake for swimming. The city of Pine River, however, has a newly-renovated swim beach with a diving platform available to the public for free, located on the Pine River by the new dam.
