Our three bedroom corner villa has a private first floor master with a California King Bed. We are located just a short walk to the famous Fairmont Orchid Hotel and its beautiful reef protected beach, restaurants and Spa. A short 10 minute drive away is our simi-private Beach Club with its own restaurant and bar. Just down the street is a full service grocery. Please note the state of Hawaii charges a 15.5 % short term rental tax. This tax is not included in the rate quoted. Our three bedroom corner villa has a private first floor master furnished with a California King bed and office space. We are located a just a short walk to the famous Fairmont Orchid Hotel. The hotel's restaurants can be used by the public. If you drive down for a meal they offer complimentary valet parking. The beach at the Hotel is "Kid Safe," ; iis protected by a reef which also provides an excellent place for snorkeling. The Beach is open to the public, as are all the beaches on the island. The hotel features two beachside bars just steps from the ocean, providing the perfect place to watch the sunset and count the green sea turtles that come upon the beach to rest for the night. They are protected so you can look but do not touch. A short drive away is our private Beach Club with its own restaurant and bar. Surf boards, stand up paddle boards and snorkel equipment can be rented for reasonable fees. A reef just to the left of the fine sand beach is great for snorkeling and is just steps from all the other beech fun. Just down the street from the villa are the "Shops at Mauna Lani" including a full service grocery store priced for and used mostly by locals. Fine dining restaurants including Tommy Bahama are in this same plaza. Shops that feature Island Coffee and Smoothies made from local fruits are also here. Lots of people walk from the hotel and the villas to the shops as we sometimes do. But we wonder if the cars that whiz by so close to us are aware that they are sharing the road with The villa is a five-minute drive to six award winning golf courses and the best sandy and protected beaches in Hawaii. Hapuna was recently voted "Best Beach in the USA and is only a fifteen minute drive away. Drive ten minutes in the other direction and you will find A-Bay...bring your camera for photos that look like they came from a postcard. Many guide books and photo books feature this beautiful spot at sunset. Varied shopping and dining can be found at the King's Shops the Queens Market Place and at the Marriott Hotel just before you get to A-Bay. Just down the road if the World famous Hilton Hotel. Guest access their rooms here on the hotels train or boat systems. Note, they do charge for parking, but will give you credit towards the parking if you eat at the restaurants or buy things from their souvenir shops Our kitchen is fully equipped, including vita mix, rice maker, Or just step outside and enjoy the use the outdoor grill Note There is a $25 cleaning fee for the grill, but only if you use it We are 1/4 mile to the beach front Fairmont Hotel and 1/2 mile the other way to fun dining at Tommy Bahamas and at the other restaurants. A full service supermarket, used by locals as well as travelers is located in this shopping spot. It is of some comfort that we pay the same for groceries as do the locals, that doesn’t mean you will be buying at bargain prices. Thankfully there is a Costco on the island near the KOA airport. Costco prices are close to those on the mainland. We are also 5 minute drive to our own private and gated beach club. The club features cabanas on first come basis, a very good snorkeling spot, a restaurant and outdoor showers. In addition, Hawaii charges a 15.5% occupancy tax on airbnb rentals. Airbnb will collect this tax after full payment has been made on the rent quoted
