Upcountry Waimea is cool year round at an elevation of about 2700' , our cooler evenings and nights give you a cozy break from the sunny adventures of your day. Kamuela Cottage is an 850 sf open concept living environment giving you space to relax without confinements. It comfortably fits 2 with all amenities to make your stay an enjoyable one. We are within walking distance from a number eateries including five-star restaurants. Several coffee shops are just down the hill serving our delicious local brews. We have 4 weekly farmer’s markets, two shopping centers, a children’s park, a nature park, a live theater and much, much more. Just 10- 20 minutes to some of the most beautiful beaches, historical sacred sights and petroglyph parks. About your Hosts Terry and Lyn : We are 28 year residents of Waimea. Having raised our children on the island and being outdoor enthusiasts, we are familiar with what the entire island has to offer. We live in the main house on the property. We give our guests their privacy and space but are readily available for any advice, needs or friendly chats. We have our two small indoor/ outdoor dogs behind a fenced large yard separate from the cottage. The front door has a keypad entry making check-in easy with no stress about keys. There is private parking in front of the cottage. Once your reservation is confirmed we will provide you with the keypad code and other information to help your staff be stress free.
